Suzuki GS description

Bought this new living in Indiana. It has clear title. I actually drove all the way from northwest Indiana to Green Bay WI to get it. They had to assemble it out of the crate for me. It had like 12 mi on it when I picked it up and I asked why they drove it so much and the guy laughed saying "it was fun to ride and it was a nice day". Haha.  About 4883 miles on it now. It lives in my garage and I'm rarely driving it. I pay too much for full insurance for the amount of riding I'm doing so I'll sell it. I paid $8500 new. Clean bike. Only two road rashes from same incident. My darling 17 year old daughter and her boyfriend decided to sit on it one day. And they dumped it on left side in driveway. Road rash on cover and slight slight rash on end of left bar. Damn I was mad. Anyway this bike runs PRRRRect and it has the infamous Suzuki 4-cylinder torque monster motor. Go to YouTube and search this model. You will want to own it. I can be in 6th gear doing 40 mph and come upon a passing situation. No need to downshift ever. Just crack the throttle AND HOLD ON!!!  This bike is fast. Upgrades include the sliders (helped a lot when darling dumped it over!!!), a beautiful German made extension shield that keeps airflow off you (works well and is SOLID). I added mirror extenders too which were absolutely essential. I also added 1" spacers under handlebar to allow you to sit up ever so slightly making for (I think) a far superior seating position. This bike also has a battery Y cable installed so you don't have to remove battery to charge it if you want. Battery is original and cranks every time. Tires are in great shape. Chain drive of course and my eldest son just took it for a spin and he cleaned the chain for me and then used thick chain lube on it. It only has 4883 miles on it but oil has been changed twice. With filters and the filter kinda sucks to get at but is doable. The US Coast Guard sticker on the tank is not hiding any dings!  I have three sons in the USCG and I'm proud of them. Sticker is "goo-less" and will come right off. ABS brakes are marvelous. A rocket sled that you do not lay down on and great for commuting. By the way they make a lot of bags for this bike. Many many many people will take this bike for a sport touring bike over ANY other bike in its class at twice the money. Again check YouTube. This bike is for sale locally and I have the right to end the listing if it sells.  I will work with you to get it shipped to you but the entire logistics of that is something you need to work with.  My zip code is 77494 in case you want to calculate something.  Thanks for looking.  Check my feedback.  Honestly I have a terribly bad lower back and I'm not riding hardly at all anymore...it hurts to hit any kind of road bumps.

Another Cruiser?

Sun, 09 Nov 2008

In a county gone mad with cruisers, from outrageous T.V. customs to 250cc Honda Rebels, the cruiser is the largest segment of the American motorcycle market. Interesting then, that despite a seeming glut in the cruiser supply, and receding sales figures from major OEMs in the past year, that new cruiser models keep coming.

A by-the-numbers look at our six contenders With the Aprilia Tuono 660 and Triumph Trident 660, we’ve got two brand new middleweight nakeds on the market this year, entering what was already a pretty good field with the Honda CB650R, Kawasaki Z650, Suzuki SV650, and the Yamaha MT-07. John, Troy and Ryan have been putting these middleweight naked bikes to the test, with Evans taking photos and Sean shooting video in preparing this six-model comparo.
