Suzuki GS description

Winner MUST pick up, I will NOT ship!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a 1983 GS1100GL. I converted it to have a cafe racer look to it. It is a fast bike for the age. Shaft driven. I love this bike. I once was stopped in Seaside, NJ last summer just so the cop could take a look at the bike and compliment me on it. Nice sound to the pipes. This is a head turner, and even gets those "Harley boys" to take a second look at it, lol.
Here is a list of things I did to it:
Replaced the cables and front brake lines, and battery (no brainer when working on an old bike)
Rebuild the forks
Replace the tires (again, a no brainer)
Changed the handle bars to Clubmans (cafe style bars)
Changed the mirrors to round mirrors
Cleaned out the Carbs, replaced the main jets with larger jets to compensate for the open air pods
Took out the air box and replaced with air pods
Replaced the slater & rectifier
Replaced the turn signals and tail light
Recarved the seat for a cafe look, reupolstered the seat
bobbed the rear fender
polished the side covers of the engine and rear wheel hub, and fork tubes last summer
Heat wrapped the header pipes
Replaced the speedo/tach with an amwell unit. I could not get the fuel sensor to work on the Amwell unit.

Small dent in the gas tank from where the kick stand sunk into a gravel driveway. No other issues from that except for the damn dent, which a body shop could probably easily remove.

To see it run, go to my youtube video: http://youtu.be/ln8PNdNR25M

I can't think of anything else. I hate to sell it. It is a fast bike, not for beginner riders. I love riding it. It has a "bad ass" nature to it. Kinda hope it doesn't sell, but I do need the cash, damn divorce.... I have this bike at my house in High Bridge, NJ. I do still ride it, so the mileage may change. As far as Mileage is concerned, as you can see in the pics, I still have the original speedo, so I added the mileage from that to the mileage on the new unit to show actual miles. I had a charging issue with it, but since changing the slater and the rectifier last summer, I have had no issues at all. Please email me with any questions.

Like with any other older bike, there is always something you will find that you want to do to it. There are no warranties with this bike. I do ride it and I have had no issues with it.

Isle of Man TT 2013: Dainese Superbike Race Results

Mon, 03 Jun 2013

It was delayed by a day but the Isle of Man TT’s Dainese Superbike race finally went underway Sunday. Originally scheduled to open the 2013 Isle of Man TT, the race was pushed back a day because poor weather earlier in the week prevented proper practice and qualifying. Even then, the Superbike race was delayed 45 minutes from its rescheduled start time due to a traffic accident.

2014 AMA Supercross – Seattle Results

Mon, 14 Apr 2014

Ryan Villopoto won his fifth race of the season while James Stewart took second place to just barely remain in contention for the 2014 AMA Supercross title. Meanwhile it was a bitter-sweet podium for third-place finisher KTM‘s Ryan Dungey who was officially mathematically eliminated from title contention. Racing in his home town of Seattle, Wash., Villopoto led every lap en route to an easy win, his fifth of the season.
