Suzuki GS description

This bike is in truly amazing condition for its age (look at the photos). It runs and drives like the new 850G I had in 1980. The paint is all original as is the seat (soft and supple) and it has had about $2200 worth of work done within the last 5 thousand miles. Here is a partial list: carbs have been gone through at a dealer, new tires, brakes, wheel bearings, steering head bearings, stator, voltage regulator, brand new battery, and much more. These bikes are known to go 120,000 to 160,000 miles. I would not consider selling the bike but some medical bills need to be taken care of. The bike is super reliable for commuting or touring. Shaft drive for reliability and a large 5.8 gallon tank for touring. At one time the bike had a fairing and when it was removed an aftermarket headlight and turn signals were installed (turn signals don't show in these photos). This bike has been used as a "Driver", it is not a museum bike but is in better condition than 99% of similar bikes. There are small areas of surface rust on chrome and oxidation to aluminum parts. There are a few dings on the tank (see photos). It has been stored indoors and the paint and plastic are in good but not perfect condition. A few spots on the front fender where the clear coat is starting to break down. One tab on one side cover is gone. Please feel free to call with questions   Jim 801-669-3900 or text or email. Many years of riding for the new owner. I would take this bike any distance as it sits. $500 Paypal deposit within 24 hours, full payment in 3 days. I will accept Paypal, USPS Money Orders or Cashiers Check for the balance. I will send the title Certified Mail when all payments have cleared, I can store the bike waiting for pickup, I can also help with transport, I used to be that business. I have had great success by listing on Uship and having the carriers bid against each other (that means lower prices) to be able to get the job.

MotoGP should return to Suzuka

Thu, 14 Jul 2011

Suzuka was always one of the great circuits; unfortunately the Japanese track was dropped following the tragic death of Daijiro Kato in 2003 as the course was deemed too tight and dangerous for the rapid four-strokes. Owned by Honda, Suzuka is a magical place combining arching S-bends from the start of the lap, high-speed in the middle and finished off with the technical and oft racing deciding final chicane, the location of many fantastic last lap battles. However the death of Kato, and Honda’s major hope of a Japanese champion, placed a dark cloud over the 5.807 kilometres of tarmac.

Reigning AMA Daytona Sportbike Champion Martin Cardenas has signed on to race in the AMA Superbike class for Yoshimura Suzuki. The move was rumored to be in the works for quite some time now, especially following Cardenas’ release from the final year of his contract with his former employer Team Hammer. Cardenas will return to the Superbike class this season, riding a Suzuki GSX-R1000 alongside teammate Chris Clark.
