A GREAT RUNNING AND RIDING, CLASSIC,

1978 SUZUKI GS550! 

Motor 

  • Stock internals
  • Valves Adjusted
  • New Clutch (Both steel and fiber plates replaced)
  • Stock Carburetors completely disassembled, cleaned and rebuilt using OEM Suzuki parts and gaskets. Jetted to run with the Pod air filters. All fasteners replaced. 
  • Detail cleaned and lightly polished   
  • Resealed with factory gaskets
  • Complete tune done to include: New coils and wires, sparkplugs, points and condensers, fresh oil and new filter.

Frame

  • Smoothed and de-tabbed
  • Rear tail cut and a loop welded on
  • Electronics/Wiring tray welded in
  • Powdercoated semi-gloss Black

Wheels

  • Cleaned and trued
  • New bearings, both front and rear
  • New rimstrips
  • New heavyduty tubes
  • New Tires: Front - 3.25X19 Rear - 4.00X18
  • New chain
  • New front and rear sprockets (Stock 15 tooth front and 50 tooth rear)

Forks and Swingarm

  • New tapered steering bearings and races
  • Forks rebuilt. Cleaned, new seals and dust boots. Fresh synthetic fork oil used
  • Swing arm has new roller bearings and fresh grease
  • New rear shocks

Electronics/Wiring

  • All wiring hidden under seat
  • Everything is new and in proper working order
  • On/Off and Starter Switch relocated to the left side of the electronics box
  • New high/Low beam headlight and New tail/brake light

  • Front caliper cleaned and rebuilt and new pads installed

  • New seat. Pan is aluminum and padding and fabric are new and tight

Local pick up at my house is fine

I will deliver, free of charge, within 100 miles of Youngtown, AZ. 85363. After that, additional mileage will be charged at .40 cents per mile.

I welcome overseas buyers and can get the bike to any of the Los Angeles/San Diego Ports for overseas shipping. Same rates explained above will be charged.

The defending champion Suzuki Endurance Racing Team (SERT) have had a rough season this year, with exactly zero victories to its name. However, at the season finale LeMans 24-hour race, the team turned their fortunes around. Ben Spies Retires from Motorcycle Racing

Ben Spies announced his retirement from motorcycle racing, as injuries cut short a once promising career for the American. Spies retires with a World Superbike title in his first and only season in the series, and three AMA Superbike Championships. “I want to thank everyone from racing organizations, factories, teams and all my fans for helping me and supporting me throughout my career,” says Spies.

It was supposed to be a weekend of celebration. The World Superbike Championship was celebrating its 25th anniversary of racing at Italy’s Monza circuit. Promoters Infront Motorsports brought out 30 landmark Superbikes from the series’ history, while greats such as Fred Merkel, Doug Polen and Carl Fogarty were in attendance for what was supposed to be a weekend to remember.
