Suzuki Bandit description

For sale by owner is a very nice Suzuki Bandit 1250 with plenty of nice accessories to make it a useful and enjoyable sport touring motorcycle. The recent acquisition of another motorcycle has caused an excess of vehicles in the household so this bike sadly needs to be sold. It has served the current owner well for approximately four years and in that time a few accessories have been added including a Madstad adjustable windscreen, Holeshot Performance touring exhaust, Koso Voltmeter, 2 Powerlet covered outlets (one on fairing, other at rear seat), Sargent world sport seat, Holeshot Performance stage 2 tuner, Holeshot Performance touring bars (including longer throttle cables), Galfer stainless steel braided brake lines, FIAMM horn, Holeshot Performance mirror extension spacers, and finally Koso heated grips with 5 settings. The motorcycle came with the Suzuki hard luggage (designed by Givi) matched to the motorcycle paint color and PUIG engine/drop posts attached to the front frame. The maintenance on the bike has been performed diligently every year and during the last season the chain and sprockets were changed, the brake pads were replaced (front and rear), and the tires were replaced with Michelin Pilot Road 4 touring tires (front and rear).

The original/additional aftermarket parts from the bike will also come with the motorcycle if the new owner desires to have them including: factory air box parts removed for stage 2 tuner kit, stock muffler, original handlebar, rubber brake lines, stock throttle cables, 3 windscreens (factory, National Cycle V-stream, and Zero Gravity double bubble smoke), and Holeshot exhaust silencer for slip on muffler (never installed), and stock horn.

The bike runs great with the Holeshot Performance tuner and has plenty of torque all through the operating RPM of the bike. The exhaust has a nice sound without being too obnoxious (subjective assessment by current owner) and the black color and compact size complements the look of the bike. The motorcycle has had the recent recall service for the regulator/rectifier performed and the suspect part replaced. The bike does have some nicks and scratches from use and road debris as is expected for a used motorcycle. Additionally it has some scratches on the bar end, RH mirror, and engine guard from being dropped on its side in the owners driveway. Fortunately no body panel damage was done thanks to the engine guard post. Finally the fairing cover has a small 7/16" drilled hole in it where the auxiliary light controller was removed (lights not being sold with motorcycle) and there is some superglue residue on the top fairing surface from the heated grip installation. The heated grips, hard bags, aftermarket seat, adjustable windscreen, tires, power outlets, and touring bars make it a very enjoyable motorcycle for longer trips. This will be a great motorcycle for someone that is looking for a used sporty motorcycle that can adequately fill in for touring duty when desired. I know anyone who is looking for this size motorcycle will enjoy the Bandit for many years to come!

Results From Day 2 Of World Superbike Testing At Phillip Island

Tue, 18 Feb 2014

World Superbike testing at Phillip Island came to a close today, and when the dust settled, reigning champion Tom Sykes stamped his authority, setting the fastest time of the test at 1:30.239, just five thousandths shy of the outright lap record held by Carlos Checa. The time was set during the morning session of testing, though nobody was able to best Sykes for the remainder of the day. Eugene Laverty, who was fastest on day one, showed his pace was no fluke as he stayed near the top of the time sheets, ultimately finishing second behind Sykes, with a best time of 1:30.513.

Best Helmet Designs from the 2009 MotoGP Season

Thu, 22 Oct 2009

Unlike with most athletes, motorcycle racers’ faces remain hidden during competition. Except for promotional events or pre- and post-race interviews, the faces of our racing heroes are shielded under protective helmets with tinted visors. You don’t see the same human emotion in their faces like you can when soccer players score a goal or baseball players hit a home run.

Suzuki Unveils New Bandit 650 Range

Sat, 08 Nov 2008

In our ongoing coverage of everything worth covering and talking about and beating to death that happened at EICMA, Suzuki unveiled a new Bandit 650 range in Milan earlier this week. Both the 650 and 650SA models received styling and practical updates that bring a new sharp and dynamic look to the 2009 middleweight class. With new edgy styling, the naked Bandit 650 is headlined by sleeker modern headlights, and newly styled mirrors that make it resemble an angry bunny rabbit.
