Suzuki RM description

This motorcycle is in excellent condition and is NOT a restoration. Everything is original with the exception of a new Wiseco piston and a new DG silencer.

I am the 4th owner. The motorcycle was purchased by a gentleman for his grandson to ride on his farm during summer visits. The kid rode the bike a couple of times and was scared of it so it sat for a couple of years before being sold to a soldier at Fort Bragg, NC. This young man rode the bike a couple of times and sold it to the local dealerships mechanic, who went through the entire bike and felt that it needed a new piston and rings. It is still on the original bore and he told me that it has approximately 10 hours of run time based on his 30 years of experience. The bike has sat in his garage for the past 11 years. I purchased it from him in July 2012. I have ridden the bike 4 times just around the yard to keep everything lubed.

The tires are the originals from the dealer showroom and while they are worn they still have plenty of tread left or you can install a new set of Dunlop tires that I will include with the winning bid. The plastic is all original including the fork leg protectors which are almost impossible to find now. I have a complete set of new OEM plastic and fork boots,OEM number plate backgrounds and a set of aftermarket plastics in case you want to ride or race the bike and save the originals. The forks and rear shock are in excellent condition with no leaking seals. The rims and spokes are immaculate as well as the grips and control levers. The brakes work like new and the bars are straight and original also. It even has all of the original rubber pieces under the seat and fender. The exhaust pipe is dent free and still has the original paint as does the engine. The bike starts on the 2nd kick when cold and first kick every time when warm.
I will include 2 copies of motorcycle magazines that test the bike from 1985 and the dealership set up manual to the winning bidder.

The only issues are: the seat has a 1 inch tear next to the mounting bolt, the original plastics have some average wear and scuffs and the paint has a few chips and scuffs. All from the roughly 10 hours of total run time on the entire bike.

There is no title for the motorcycle but I will include a bill of sale to the winning bidder. This is a 28 year old original motorcycle so I cannot warranty or guarantee any parts.

I would rate this motorcycle as a 9 out of 10 as I have not seen a better condition, unrestored 1985 RM125.
Feel free to contact me with any questions and happy bidding!

2013 AIMExpo: Suzuki Unveils GW250

Wed, 16 Oct 2013

Suzuki unveiled a new lightweight naked standard motorcycle at the 2013 American International Motorcycle Expo (AIMExpo) – the GW250. Powered by a 248cc liquid cooled in-line twin-cylinder engine, the GW250 would seem an ideal choice for newcomers not interested in sportbikes like the Honda CBR250R and Kawasaki Ninja 300. Editor-in-Chief Kevin Duke had a chance to ride the newest Suzuki and will be providing a review in the coming days.
