Suzuki RM description
This is a very nice race/play ready 1979 RM400. Piston, rod, crank, all bearings and seals have been replaced. The bike has not been raced since rebuild. Plastics and tank were replaced. Swingarm bearings replaced and wheel bearing confirmed good with no play. DG National pipe and silencer added. Mikuni carb kit added. Piston is 1mm over and light transfer port work was done. Forks are from '83 RM500 with DLS brakes adjusted properly. Rebuild on Works Performance triple spring rate shocks. Progressive fork springs installed. The bike starts easily, runs great with lots of travel on both ends. A new Bridgestone M-404 rear tire is included as a spare. Chain and sprockets have tons of life. I'm quitting riding at 72 which is why it's for sale. The bike has been ridden for about 8 hrs since rebuild. I will assist with buyers shipping company. No international shipping.

Hopper,Cogger and Rossigate
Tue, 05 Apr 2011Rizla Suzuki welcomed back John Hopkins to Jerez and by the end of day one the American was posting some very respectable lap times. To me it seems like yesterday, but it was way back in 2007 when he last rode for the British based team ending the season 4th in the World Championship. The dry qualifying went well but he wasn’t too upset when it rained on race day as he admitted to not being bike fit and would have struggled to maintain a fast dry race pace.
Knee-high land-speed record device
Wed, 28 Jul 2010This mad looking motorcycle is a land speed record device that never turned a wheel in anger. It was built by the infamous Dave Manning in 1968 using a discarded drop tank from a Korean fighter plane. Manning built a space-frame chassis inside the tiny teardrop and also managed to find room for a Suzuki T500 twin cylinder two-stroke motor.
Church of MO: 2002 Suzuki SV-1000S
Sun, 31 Jul 2022Oh, look what turned up in this morning’s search through the archives: a 2002 Suzuki SV-1000S review/Spanish travelogue by our dearly departed friend/former fearless leader Sean Alexander. Well, I mean, he’s not departed departed; he’s only moved to Hawaii with his lovely wife Natalie to live the good life – while we who must remain go on living just the same. We miss you buddy.
