1977 Suzuki RM 80 First Year - Highly Collectible NO RESERVE You Bid - You Buy Up for sale is my 1977 Suzuki RM 80. I bought the bike with the intentions of restoring, but plans have changed. It has a new top end that was installed by the prior owner, it starts easily and has good power. It shifts and stops just like it should; however, it does seem to need carburetor tuning. The bike is missing the air box ( you can buy one on eBay for 40 dollars) and it is also missing the plastic side number plates. The tires will need replaced along with the seat cover. The bike is leaking gas from somewhere - it could be the petcock or shut off valve. (The picture of the piston is the one that came out of the bike when the top end was rebuilt. It is still very usable.) The day I bought it, the prior owner had it stored in his house. We moved it outside, he put gas in it, and went flying up the street. I brought it home that day, rode it around the yard, and pushed it into the corner behind my boat. I never really looked at it again so it is exactly like I bought it. The bike is not restored and needs some work, but a great bike to start with - it would make a perfect father /son project. The NADA book value is $3,500.00 - look for yourself. I am guessing it is highly valued because it is the first year for the RM 80 therefore making it rare and collectible. Elena Myers First Woman to Win at Daytona
Mon, 19 Mar 2012Elena Myers made history once again, winning the second of two AMA Supersport races at Daytona International Speedway. The win was Myers’ second professional AMA victory and gives her the distinction of being the first female racer to ever win a professional motorsports race at the famed Daytona circuit. The SuzukiScoopFans M4 Suzuki rider became the first woman to win an AMA race, taking an AMA Supersport race at Infineon Raceway in 2010.
2014 WSBK Provisional Entry List – 27 Riders and 9 Manufacturers
Thu, 30 Jan 2014The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) released a provisional entry list for the 2014 World Superbike Championship. The provisional list includes 27 riders riding motorcycles from nine different manufacturers. Of these riders, 12 are riding in the new EVO sub-category which limits engine upgrades and electronics to Superstock class rules.
