2003 Anniversary Edition Susuki Volusia.  Garage Kept!!  New Dunlap tires, Jet Kit, Cobra Slip On Pipes, Cobra Floor Boards, Matching Lockable Saddlebags, Back Rest, Saddleman Backrest Bag, Installed Tender Pigtail/Lead, Tune Up in January 2013, New Spark Plugs. 

Bike is 10 years old and has some minor wear.  Small dent and some scratches on exhaust pipes, rust spot on one bracket, small chip in reflective material on right mirror - glass and mirror housing in tact, scratch on crash bar.  Overall this is a great bike ready to ride.

Available for inspection in Woodbine, Maryland.  We will deliver, via covered trailer for free within 50 miles.  $1 per mile after 50, up to 200 miles.  Will help arrange shipping.  Please email with any questions.

Suzuki to Close Spanish Motorcycle Factory

The digital ink is still wet on news of American Suzuki declaring bankruptcy and shutting down its car business to focus on powersports and marine products, and now there’s more bad news for the Japanese manufacturer. Suzuki announced it will close its motorcycle factory in Gijón, Spain, in March, 2013, shutting the company’s sole European production plant. The factory has been producing motorcycles and scooters for Suzuki since 1984, with the manufacturer taking 100% ownership of the factory.

Suzuki Motor of America revealed the 2014 editions of its RM-Z450 and RM-Z250 motocross bikes with a few minor updates. How minor? The biggest change in fact is the company’s new name, replacing the Chapter 11′d American Suzuki.

Japan Needs Your Help

By now, we’ve all seen pictures and video of the devastation in Japan following the March 11 earthquake and the ensuing tsunamis. Japan, of course, has contributed much to motorcycling, with the Big Four of Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha, as well as tire manufacturer Bridgestone, helmet companies Arai and Shoei and many other motorcycle industry stalwarts all coming from the Land of the Rising Sun. Jon Bekefy and Greg Hatton, two motorcycle enthusiasts, industry employees  and above all, humanitarians, have set up a fundraising campaign benefiting the Red Cross for relief efforts in Japan.
