4,314 Miles on this bike. Well maintained, used conventional oil til 3,000 miles and just changed to Mobil 1 Synthetic. It was broken right by an adult, owned and ridden by adult with a lot of motorcycle experience. It's never been down. One small and shallow dent on one of the side boxes. Chain has been cleaned and lubed regularly. Suzuki GSX-R1000 Sportbike Gets New VVT System
Tue, 29 Jan 2019Suzuki has adopted the SR-VVT (Suzuki Racing Variable Valve Timing) system on the 2017 GSX-R1000. A centrifugal drive system is integrated into the intake gear and adjacent guide plate. It features 12 steel balls and slant grooves to rotate and synchronize the intake valve at a predetermined RPM for increased power at high RPMs.
