For sale is this royal blue 2013 Suzuki V-Strom DL650A adventure or dual-sport motorcycle in excellent condition with low miles and one original owner. This bike is a premium Suzuki model and is super smooth and tons of fun. It is all original with an added center stand, power socket, handlebar risers, as well as quick release saddlebag brackets and Givi soft sided saddlebags. The bike has always been garaged and covered and meticulously cared for. The factory tires were replaced with Metzelers a couple seasons ago. This bike has never been involved in an accident and has been serviced regularly by dealer or owner.  The bike is listed locally and auction may end at any time.

Chris Vermeulen to Replace Colin Edwards at Le Mans

NGM Forward Racing has named veteran MotoGP racer Chris Vermeulen the substitute rider for the injured Colin Edwards at the May 20 French Grand Prix at Le Mans. Vermeulen will ride the team’s BMW-powered Suter Claiming Rule machine. Vermeulen raced four full seasons in MotoGP from 2006-2009, all with the Rizla Suzuki team.

Former World Champion Franco Uncini Named Grand Prix Safety Officer

The International Motorcycling Federation has named Franco Uncini the FIM Grand Prix Safety Officer and circuit inspector. The 1982 500cc Grand Prix World Champion (pictured on the left above) takes over for the retired Claude Danis (right in the photo) to oversee safety in MotoGP. The now 58-year-old Uncini won the 1982 World Championship for Roberto Gallina‘s factory-backed Suzuki.

MotoGP to Re-Visit Rookie Rule

MotoGP organizers are re-opening discussion for the series’ rookie rule which prevents new riders from entering the series with factory teams. Introduced following the 2009 MotoGP season, the rule was designed to give satellite teams the chance to field young up-and-coming talents  they otherwise wouldn’t have been able to sign. The theory was the rule would protect the satellite teams and spread out the talent pool.
