Decided to put my 2009 suzuki rmz450 and snowbike up for sale and see if theres any interest. Nothing wrong with the bike, i just decided its time to try something different. Fairly low hours, most of the time ive put on the bike was on snow (with the snowbike kit) so it wasnt a dusty atmosphere. Changed the oil almost every ride, using very good oil. The tires are in attractive shape (because i mostly pre-owned it in the winter) and the chain and sprockets are both good. This bike has fuel injection so it starts great and the throttle response is amazing. Again, only selling to get a different bike or something. GSX-R600 long-termer update

When MF asks me if I fancy riding the Visordown test GSX-R 600 for a bit, I hesitate for about a millisecond before accepting. Why? ‘Cos my own courier’s favourite Diversion 900 may be heavy and utterly unexciting, but it is also a comfortable and trusty commuter ride that suits the Smoke very nicely, thanks.

Got to apologise for the mogadon-inspired soundtrack but this 1979 Kawasaki promo vid' is worth watching just for the footage of Freddie Spencer and Wes Cooley. Watch the slo-mo of Cooley's GS1000 Suzuki on the brakes. It's horrendous.

Michelin Unveils New Tire for Dual Sport Motorcycles

More than half of the new BMW R 1200 GSs that roll off the assembly line in 2013 will be fitted with Michelin’s new big trail tire, the Anakee III. BMW and Michelin worked together to co-develop the dual-sport tire, which is designed to deliver all the safety and off road capability big trail motorcycle users demand. The Anakee III will also be available as a replacement option for other leading dual sport bikes, like the Suzuki V-Strom, Kawasaki KLR, Triumph Tiger and Yamaha Super Tenere.
