Suzuki Other description

Up for sale is a low mileage (2200) 2006 Suzuki S40. This is a single cylinder cruiser type bike. It is 650 cc's. Great for the 1st time rider or person who is vertically challenged. It's comparable to a Honda Rebel or Yamaha Virago 250 in size yet has more horse power and get up and go. Automatic start; four way flashers; flash to pass headlamp switch; It weighs 380 lbs and has a seat height of 28". Achieves roughly 60 mis per gallon. It is belt driven. Colorado title in my name. It does have some scratches/scrapes on it, but it runs well. Tires are in good shape. Everything works on it. I do not have the tools for it or the owner's manual. $2150 or best offer. Trade for Yamaha TW200 of equal value. Call, text or email. Bike is located in the Denver, Colorado area. 720.884.XXXX. Thanks for looking. (NOTE: picture is not of the actual bike)

Church of MO: 2012 Suzuki DR-Z400S Review

And speaking of Japanese motorcycles with looooong shelf lives, how about the DR-Z400S? Suzuki sold the first one in 2000 as a serious enduro machine you could ride around on the street, too. And they’ll sell you one today, complete with 36mm Mikuni carburetor, for just $7,099 – which is $1750 more than 22 years ago.

Intermot 2012: Updated Suzuki Burgman 650 Executive Introduced in Cologne

Wed, 03 Oct 2012

Suzuki introduced an updated Burgman 650 scooter at the 2012 Intermot show, refining the maxi-scooter’s styling and giving a boost in fuel economy. The 2013 Suzuki Burgman 650 is powered by a 638cc liquid-cooled parallel twin engine, the same powerplant used when the scooter first debuted in 2002. Though the engine is essentially the same, Suzuki claims the 2013 Burgman 650 uses 15% less fuel than the previous model due to a refined  transmission system and reduced losses from friction.

Piaggio, Suzuki Hit with Fines by CARB

Mon, 01 Apr 2013

The California Air Resources Board has agreed to settlements with Suzuki and Piaggio for selling motorcycles that the companies did not disclose could be modified to exceed the state’s strict emission standards. Suzuki was hit with the larger of the two penalties, agreeing to a fine of $3,020,000, though the amount could be reduced by $1,812,000 if Suzuki follows certain provisions. The penalty is in addition to the previous fine of $885,000 levied by the Environmental Protection Agency for selling 25,396 LT-R450 ATVs and 62 RMX450Z dirtbikes with a racing map programmed into their ECUs that was not certified or tested. This racing map is not initially accessible to customers, unless they buy aftermarket devices to unlock the higher-performance engine mapping.
