Suzuki Other description

THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION

This bike was built by the seller over the winter of 2011-2012. Since then it has been ridden 1100 trouble-free miles to vintage meets and on back roads for fun. This is a loud, fast, lightweight, great handling enthusiast's motorcycle that WILL DRAW ATTENTION wherever you take it. The paint job glows. It comes on the pipe at 5500-6000 RPM and pulls hard up to redline. It will blow through 100MPH briskly. It is happiest cruising in top gear at 70-80 MPH. The spacing between 4th and 5th gear is close, making it easy to keep the engine in its powerband at fast highway speeds. Only Klotz 2-Stroke oil has been used. This bike starts first kick every time. I performed a mild cafe treatment with the drag bars and stock footpeg location in lieu of more radical clip-ons and rearsets in the interest of rider comfort. The seat and riding position are actually quite comfortable for a 100 mile ride.

The paint color actually is a little more bronze and less red than it appears in the digital pictures.

This bike features the following enhancements:

Barnett Clutch ( The stock clutch couldn't handle the current power level )
Jemco Pipes by Jon Easton of  Houston, Texas
GS450 Tank
GS550 Front End ( fit with no modifications )
GS450 Master Cylinder
NOS Suzuki .5mm Oversize Pistons and Rings
Michelin Pilot II Tires
New Rear Brake Shoes
Drag Bars
GS450 Clutch Lever
New Speedometer Cable
New Tach Cable
Sikkens Urethane Paint
EMGO Headlight and Bracket
New Showa Rear Shocks
Lightened Front Brake Disk
Gel Battery
Hotwing Glass Racing Seat
New Gold O-Ring Chain
New Front and Rear Sprockets-15/33
Many Custom Hand-Made Parts

Engine Porting Specs:
Exhaust port widened by 10mm total
Raised the exhaust port 3mm, from 40mm to 37mm
Left the transfer port alone
Lowered the inlet port from 105mm to 108mm
Inlet port by widened by 15mm total
These are mild racing port mods and the bike is totally streetable but likes to be kept on the pipe.

There are 14,359 miles on the odometer today. I may continue to ride it some so mileage could increase slightly.

BUYER MUST ARRANGE SHIPPING OR PICK UP-WE WILL ASSIST WITH LOADING.

WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE A PERSONAL VISIT TO INSPECT THE BIKE. I WILL PROVIDE A DEMO RIDE IF DESIRED.

Results From Day 1 Of Second Sepang MotoGP Test

Wed, 26 Feb 2014

With the absence of Marc Marquez from the second Sepang MotoGP test, due to a broken leg suffered in a training accident, another Honda rider took his place at the top of the time sheets, though it’s not who you might think. Alvaro Bautista on the Gresini Honda set the fastest time at the end of the first day with a 2:00.848. The time is 1.3 second slower than the fastest time Marquez set at the last Sepang test.

Sidecar Racer Sandor Pohl Dies in Assen Race

Tue, 06 Aug 2013

Sidecar racing passenger Sandor Pohl succumbed to injuries suffered in an accident at a Sidecar World Championship race at the TT Assen in the Netherlands. Pohl and pilot Stefan Kiser were rounding a corner when the rear of their Suzuki-powered LCR sidecar began to slide. The sidecar began to spin before the momentum caused the machine to flip over.

WSBK 2013: Moscow Race Report

Mon, 22 Jul 2013

Marco Melandri captured his third win of the season, the Ducati 1199 Panigale scored its first podium while Sylvain Guintoli regained the championship lead despite dislocating his collarbone days before the race. But the big news at Moscow Raceway of course was the tragic death of Andrea Antonelli in the World Supersport race. The opening-lap crash in severely wet conditions naturally led to the cancellation of the rest of the events as the World Superbike community mourns the loss of the 25-year-old Antonelli.
