Suzuki Intruder description

SUZUKI INTRUDER MOTORCYCLE - 2002 - METALLIC DARK BLUE / BLACK - VS1400 - LOW MILEAGE

CONDIDTION:
This Intruder is one rare beautiful bike. I have found no dents or dings on it.  The dark blue metallic area is a detailed pinstripe like area surrounded by black paint over the tank and body. I can feel some minor pin point raises in the paint and on the chrome due to age.  It is not visible unless you get down on  it.  The Intruder has been sheltered in  a dry garage during the time it has been with me.  It was running like a dream when it was brought to me.  I  do not know about winterizing motor vehicles and let the gas tank dry out with about 1/4th of a tank of gas still in it. So, it will need a good cleaning to get it running again. I put a new battery in it.  All lights and signals work.  The ignition turns over and t acts like it wants to start. You may need new brakes.  The front tire will not hold air, but the back one is ok. Everything else seems to be OK. It has been stored in a smoke free environment.  I have cleaned it and will wipe it down again for you.

FEATURES:
This Intruder received the full accessories package from the former owner at a cost of $1400.  I am putting down here what I see and know.  I may have missed something, so ask and I will look again.
The Intruder is eight feet long.  Driver's seat is 26" from the floor and an overall height of 45".  The seat is heated!  It has two black leather saddle bags under the buddy seat  12" x 12" x 6" opening.  A black leather pouch is also on the front.  There is a sturdy buddy seat behind the driver.  Windshield is clear acrylic measuring 21" high by 16 1/2"wide. I saw minor clouding that comes with age.  It is still very usable.  There are two rear mirrors, Floor Boards, chrome motor, shocks, exhaust, and extra other chromed parts that you may see in the photos.

History:
This particular Intruder was one of the last models produced on the Suzuki Intruder line.  It was the deluxe final issue of Intruders made.  It is a historical bike and a collector's dream.
The Intruder was purchased by the former owner plus a co-signer from a dealership in this area.  The first owner could not ride this bike because it was too heavy for him to keep upright.  First owner turned it in.  So former owner purchased it, low mileage, beauty, and all with the help of the co-signer.  About a year later former owner drove the four wheeler, (which I am selling next week) took the four wheeler to the co-signer's place of work and dumped it off telling co-signer that He was no longer paying the payments on either the 4 wheeler or the Intruder.  This would cause the co-signer to go into default on his bills.  I loaned the co-signer the money and I purchased the Bank's loan papers.  The former owner has never responded to my requests to pay me for getting both of them out of the problem.  Now, I am no longer able to hold this note and after many attempts, I must sell this Intruder.

Shipping and Payment:
This bike is heavy!  I do not have a weight for it.  You need to hold tight as it can throw someone.
Reserve price is the least I can accept for this bile.  Winning buyer to pay $500.00 within 24 hours through Pay Pal.  This is a non refundable deposit  should winning buyer wants to not complete on this sale. Final amount can be paid within 7 days, or cash upon pick up.  I WILL ONLY SHIP THI ITEM IF YOU CAN FIND A COMPANY THAT WILL COME HERE, PACK IT, AND PICK IT UP.  Sorry for the caps.  I want local pick up.  I am looking for a credit company.  Please have your purchase money in place before you bid.

Please email me with questions.  If you do not understand something, please contact me.

Suzuki GSX-R History [video]

Suzuki kicked off the modern era of sportbikes when it introduced its lightweight and aluminum-framed GSX-R750 in 1985, and the Gixxer series of 600s, 750s, 1000s and 1100s have delivered unparalleled success in terms of racetrack and sales domination. Over the past 25 years, Suzuki’s GSX-Rs have been the dominant force in America road racing, earning an incredible 33 AMA championships. In addition to 11 Superbike titles carded by Mat Mladin and Ben Spies, Gixxers have also logged a combined 15 Supersport titles in 600cc and 750cc classes.

2024 Suzuki GSX-S1000GX+ Review – First Ride

Fri, 22 Dec 2023

A tech-laden, long-legged addition to the K5 family Photography by: Ula Serra, Amylee Photography Suzuki has produced more than 180,000 of its K5 999 cc Inline Four cylinder engine in the last 18 years, and now we’re seeing that engine tasked with powering a tall sport touring bike that Suzuki calls the “supreme sport crossover," sitting between the sport-touring GSX-S1000GT that the GX is heavily based on, and adventure tourers like that of Suzuki’s V-Strom line. Leggy sport tourers, or crossovers, aren’t exactly a new thing, and since bikes like the Kawasaki Versys, Yamaha Tracer 9 GT, and BMW S 1000 XR exist, there is already some healthy competition for Hamamatsu to contend with. Suzuki tells us this is its most technologically advanced motorcycle yet, making the GSX-S1000GX a sort of flagship product for the brand.

WSBK 2013: Moscow Race Report

Mon, 22 Jul 2013

Marco Melandri captured his third win of the season, the Ducati 1199 Panigale scored its first podium while Sylvain Guintoli regained the championship lead despite dislocating his collarbone days before the race. But the big news at Moscow Raceway of course was the tragic death of Andrea Antonelli in the World Supersport race. The opening-lap crash in severely wet conditions naturally led to the cancellation of the rest of the events as the World Superbike community mourns the loss of the 25-year-old Antonelli.
