2001 SUZUKI INTRUDER VS800 This Suzuki was just traded. It is the VS800 Intruder model and is in great condition. The bike makes for a great commuter or beginner bike. It is water cooled and carbureted. The overall condition is very good. The previous owner did store it outside under a cover so it does have some light spots of rust. A few bolts and brackets but nothing major. The paint and chrome is very good with no dents, scratches or pitting. The bike has fallen on it side and the only damage that can be found is to the end of the turn-signals and the left exhaust muffler which has some scrapes. The color is gloss black. I have detailed and safety checked the bike. The rear tire has about 75% tread life while the front is about 55%. The front brakes are fairly new and the rear pads fine as well. All the lights, gauges and horn work 100%. I have taken this bike on a short reliability run and the engine, clutch and gearbox all work and sound as they should. Mon, 26 May 2014Tom Sykes and Loris Baz captured a pair of one-two finishes for Kawasaki at England’s Donington Park. The first race saw the reigning World Superbike champion fight his way up from 11th place for the win while Race 2 offered a three-way battle between the two Kawasaki riders and Aprilia‘s Sylvain Guintoli. 2014 Suzuki V-Strom 1000 Concept
Thu, 11 Jul 2013Suzuki is currently testing prototype versions of the 2014 V-Strom 1000 first teased during the Intermot Expo in Germany last year. The company also has a dedicated V-Strom 1000 website centered around the concept, its inception, design challenges, and what Suzuki hopes to achieve with the new model. Judging by the photos, the new Strom will retain the same 996cc V-Twin engine first seen on the original Strom 1000 11 years ago.
Suzuki Forms Joint Venture for Developing Fuel Cell Technology
Tue, 07 Feb 2012Suzuki announced it is partnering with U.K.-based Intelligent Energy Holdings to form a joint venture for developing fuel cell systems. The new joint venture, SMILE FC System Corporation, will work on developing fuel cell systems for both motorcycles and automobiles. Intelligent Energy, with its fuel cell expertise and Suzuki, with its mass production capabilities, will each have 50% share of SMILE FC.
