Suzuki GSX-R description

New model, clean and sleek body style, new headlight, addition of Italian made Brembo brake calipers (front) and Nissin (back). The 2011 model is about 9 kilograms (20 lb) lighter than the previous year's model. It has a "back torque limiting" clutch that allows for slicker downshifting. A lightweight Showa Big Piston Fork (BPF)[5] comes standard along with a Showa rear shock. Features a more compacted instrument panel which was inspired by the GSX-R1000 instrument panel. The engine produces power at the crank of 150 hp (110 kW) at 13,200 rpm, and at the wheel it produced 133 hp (99 kW) Torque is 64 lbf??ft (87 N??m) @ 11,200 rpm. Dry weight is 167 kg (368 lb). Wet Weight is 198 kg (437 lb).

Cameron Beaubier led a parade of Yamaha YZF-R6 racebikes to win the 72nd running of the famed Daytona 200. The Yamaha Extended Service Graves Yamaha rider started from pole position and led for 50 of 57 laps before winning by a 22.254-second margin. Behind Beaubier were four other R6 riders including his teammate Garret Gerloff who finished second.

Ryan Villopoto capped off his fourth-consecutive AMA Supercross championship with an impressive victory at the season finale at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas. The Monster Energy Kawasaki rider clinched the title at last week’s New Jersey round so he didn’t have to prove anything in Vegas. But he did, leading all 20 laps and winning by nearly 14 seconds.
