AIMExpo Celebrates Its 300th Vendor

With the signing of B&W Trailer Hitches the American International Motorcycle Expo (AIMExpo) has committed 300 exhibitors to its inaugural event this October in Orlando, Fla. “To think that just three weeks ago we were announcing our 250th exhibitor and to now be at a point where 50 more brands have committed to the expo is absolutely remarkable,” says Larry Little, VP and GM of the Marketplace Events Motorcycle Group. Racer Yoshinari Matsushita Killed in Isle of Man TT Crash

Veteran racer Yoshinari Matsushita has died after crashing in a practice session for the 2013 Isle of Man TT. Matsushita crashed his Suzuki GSX-R600 at the Ballacyre section of the Isle of Man’s Mountain Course. He was trying to prepare to compete in the TT’s Supersport class for Tyco Suzuki.

At Intermot this year Suzuki made it official: the company was returning to MotoGP in 2015. There had been some speculation about a 2016 return considering that will be the year of new ECUs and a switch to Michelin spec tires, but team boss Davide Brivio confirmed the GSX-RR prototype will be in action next year, piloted by Aleix Espargaro and Maverick Vinales. However, Suzuki will also make a wildcard appearance at the season ending round of the championship at Valencia with test rider, Randy DePuniet, at the helm.
