The last true superbike, the GSXR 1000 K6 - look it up, the next year around 14 lbs of weight was added due to new emissions regs, this is the last of the truly feather weights but with tons of power! Bike is stock with only exceptions being a TRE mod and K&N air filter. Just changed oil/filter about 3 months ago (full synthetic amsoil/k&n filter), bike always garaged or inside my house. Only one minor flaw, about a 1" crack on right side fairing (not dropped, something bumped it). Own the last true Superbike and it's ready to make mods of your own to bring even more out of it! Mon, 07 May 2012It was supposed to be a weekend of celebration. The World Superbike Championship was celebrating its 25th anniversary of racing at Italy’s Monza circuit. Promoters Infront Motorsports brought out 30 landmark Superbikes from the series’ history, while greats such as Fred Merkel, Doug Polen and Carl Fogarty were in attendance for what was supposed to be a weekend to remember.

Mon, 06 Oct 2014At Intermot this year Suzuki made it official: the company was returning to MotoGP in 2015. There had been some speculation about a 2016 return considering that will be the year of new ECUs and a switch to Michelin spec tires, but team boss Davide Brivio confirmed the GSX-RR prototype will be in action next year, piloted by Aleix Espargaro and Maverick Vinales. However, Suzuki will also make a wildcard appearance at the season ending round of the championship at Valencia with test rider, Randy DePuniet, at the helm.

Back in the depths of winter I rode our long termer and found myself (without trying) doing jail-sentence speeds by doing nothing other than short shifting through the gear on half throttle.
