Suzuki GSX-R description
This bike was used in a photo shoot at Daytona International Speedway!! Yes those photos were taken three weeks ago! And no, pretty woman NOT included.
This is a 1989 Suzuki GSXR 750 with 6.5k miles on it. It is red and white and has very few modifications to it - the exhaust was changed (I have half of the original exhaust to go with it), the license plate light was removed, the rubber grips replaced, the turn signals were replaced (I have the stock signals to go with it), aftermarket air cleaners (I have the original airbox and all the parts to go with it). That's it! Other than that it is a stock machine and could easily be returned to full stock if you wish! I am the second owner. The original owner stopped riding in 1991 and it sat in a garage until recently. It is in good condition. There are scratches on the lower left fairing where the bike has fallen over (which was quite common on these due to the small kick stand). A small piece of the bottom fairing is cracked off underneath the bike (it cant be seen unless you actually look under the bike). The upper fairing is cracked along the mirror (this is the worst of the damage). This bike has new: tires, brakes, chain, oil, and plugs. I am including all the parts I have for it with the sale. This bike runs and looks good. Even though it is approaching 30 years old it is still a force to be reckoned with! I did not do a complete restore. If you want a cherry bike it will require more work. This bike is currently in Northern New Jersey. Motorcycle is sold as is where is. A non-refundable deposit is due at close of auction and the full payment must be made in cash within 7 days of close of auction. |

K-Tech release 25SSK for Big Piston Forks
Mon, 21 May 2012K-Tech have released their popular 25SSK front fork open cartridge system to fit all Showa Big Piston Forks. Here's what K-Tech have to say about them: These lightweight aluminium units are supplied to the same exacting specification as all other 25SSK fitments with 14mm piston rods and a 25mm cartridge tube, the 14mm piston rods displace a large volume of oil through the 25mm control pistons giving enhanced damping characteristics over the standard Big Piston Fork and allow a bigger volume of air for a more precise feel at the bottom of the fork travel. The cartridge kits have compression and rebound adjustment in both legs and are supplied with 1.5mm Flow Control Valves for a more accurate adjustment, all necessary hardware is supplied to convert the Big Piston Forks to take the cartridges but it is necessary to order the springs you require as these are not included, customer price for the 25SSK cartridges is £725.00 + VAT and are available for the following models:- Honda CBR1000RR 2012 Kawasaki ZX6-R 2009-2012 Kawasaki ZX10-R 2011-2012 Suzuki GSXR600 2011-2012 Suzuki GSXR1000 2009-2012 Contact K-Tech on: +44(0)1283 559007.
AMA Sportbike: 2012 Daytona 200 Results
Tue, 20 Mar 2012The 2012 Daytona 200 delivered another fairy-tale finish with underdog privateer Joey Pascarella and the Project 1 Atlanta team fending off a pack of three other racers to win by a slim 0.048 second margin. Competing in just his first Daytona 200, 19-year-old Pascarella from Victorville, Calif., held the lead for 41 out of 57 laps to finish first ahead of a last year’s winner Jason DiSalvo while Cameron Beaubier squeezed by 2010 Daytona Sportbike Champion Martin Cardenas in a photo-finish to take third. For the Project 1 Atlanta team, the win marked a dramatic turnaround from a let down in 2011.
In loving memory of the Suzuki Katana
Wed, 23 Mar 2016The Japanese are celebrating the 35th anniversary of the legendary Suzuki Katana motorcycle, whose appearance on the road still stuns the layman. Back in the day, the Japanese manufacturer relied on the European design studio Target Design to get an innovative motorcycle. Hans Muth, the ex-BMW designer at the time, presented two concepts: a 650cc prototype and a 1100cc version that ended up on the assembly line.
