Up for bids is my 1987 Suzuki GSXR 1100. I've had this bike over 3 years now and its time to sell it to someone that will ride it. It has a little over 23,000 miles and is in good condition. Here are the good points on it: Paint has light rub marks or scratches, has new windshield and lights all work good, new battery from NAPA, and customized dual exhaust. The bad points: it needs a new rear tire (small leak), new fork seals and new carburetor bowls soon, and has a fuel leak somewhere near the fuel tank. When i bought the bike it was not running at all so I had to get the carbs tuned and cleaned and also put a new petcock valve on it. So I spent a little over 400 to get it running and still runs as we speak. My loss is your gain and this would be an exceptional project for someone who is into these vintage bikes. It has a clear title also. No test rides for now because it is not insured and I will drive it and let you see how it rides. Any questions feel free to contact me. Suzuki Developing 1000cc Prototype – MotoGP Return in 2014 Still Possible
Fri, 03 Feb 2012The first MotoGP pre-season test at Mayalsia’s Sepang circuit is complete, with Ducati, Honda and Yamaha‘s factory and satellite teams, as well as a handful of CRT entries, collecting data for the next stage of their race prototypes’ development. Absent from testing was Suzuki which announced last November it was leaving MotoGP racing. Suzuki cited the recession, the rising value of the Japanese yen and the natural disasters afflicting Japan in 2011 as reasons for leaving MotoGP, but the manufacturer did say it intended to return in 2014.
Suzuki Reports Q1 2012-2013 Results
Thu, 09 Aug 2012Suzuki reported a 11.7% decrease in motorcycle sales over its first quarter and an operating loss of 3.5 million yen (US$44.5 million) from its motorcycle division. In the quarter ended June 30, 2012, Suzuki sold 573,000 units, down from 649,000 units sold in the same quarter in 2011. Sales were down in most regions though unit sales in the U.S.
Intermot 2012: Updated Suzuki Burgman 650 Executive Introduced in Cologne
Wed, 03 Oct 2012Suzuki introduced an updated Burgman 650 scooter at the 2012 Intermot show, refining the maxi-scooter’s styling and giving a boost in fuel economy. The 2013 Suzuki Burgman 650 is powered by a 638cc liquid-cooled parallel twin engine, the same powerplant used when the scooter first debuted in 2002. Though the engine is essentially the same, Suzuki claims the 2013 Burgman 650 uses 15% less fuel than the previous model due to a refined transmission system and reduced losses from friction.
