It is in great condition!Everything functions as should, mechanically and electrically. Original exhaust system, airbox and still sporting the oem windscreen. Fuel tank was autographed by Kevin Schwantz himself and preserved with a clear-shield. It does have the upgraded 1100 4.0" rear wheel but the oem 3.5" is included in the sale, Fully serviced by Speedwerks. inc; new EBC brake pads, RK chain and sprockets. The front suspension has been completely rebuilt, The carbs were rebuilt and fitted with a dynojet kit. A valve adjustment was preformed, along with NGK plugs, filters and all fluids replaced. Metzeler Roadtec tires. Chassis has been professionally detailed. see naked pics. We do have some period correct upgrade parts available, if the new owner wishes, suspension,exhaust etc. These slab sides are so rare in OEM condition,we just left this one alone. Ben Spies Retires from Motorcycle Racing
Sun, 27 Oct 2013Ben Spies announced his retirement from motorcycle racing, as injuries cut short a once promising career for the American. Spies retires with a World Superbike title in his first and only season in the series, and three AMA Superbike Championships. “I want to thank everyone from racing organizations, factories, teams and all my fans for helping me and supporting me throughout my career,” says Spies.
2009-2011 Suzuki GSX-R1000 Recalled for Side Stand Interlock Switch
Fri, 01 Jun 2012Suzuki is issuing a recall for 2009-2011 GSX-R1000 because of a potential failure of the side stand interlock switch. The interlock switch is what cuts off the ignition circuit on a motorcycle when the side stand is down and the transmission is in any gear except neutral. Its purpose is to prevent a motorcycle from moving with the stand deployed.
