Intermot 2012: Suzuki V-Strom 1000 Concept Breaks Cover

Today at the Intermot show in Cologne, Germany, Suzuki unveiled its V-Strom 1000 Concept. Heavily rumored to receive similar styling updates as its V-Strom 650 stablemate, Suzuki instead turned to its 1988 DR750S, the company’s first big on/off road machine, for inspiration, taking many by surprise. The updates are more than just skin deep, as the entire motorcycle has been redesigned.

2013 Long Beach International Motorcycle Show Report

Today the motorcycle press descended upon the Long Beach Convention Center to attend media day at the annual International Motorcycle Show. After feasting from a continental breakfast buffet the discerning journalists set to the task of reporting on the bounty of new model motorcycles – most of which has been previously showcased in our November EICMA reporting. If you miss seeing factory two stroke racing machinery being ridden properly then you should consider a trip to the Spa classic event in 2013. I was the lucky recipient of an invitation to ride there last week and had a blast riding some tasty kit from the past. I went well at Spa in 250cc GPs  but the circuit scared me on the 500s.
