2013 Yoshimura Limited Edition GSX-Rs

Mon, 10 Jun 2013

A recent visit to the Yoshimura facility in Chino, CA, provided us an in-person peak at the company’s 2013 limited edition GSX-R. The burgundy red and black with metal flake and gold pin striping color scheme is both striking and sophisticated while subtle details such as the Yoshimura radiator stencil heighten its visual appeal. And these bikes are seriously limited – only 45 examples will be produced. The 45 bikes produced this year will be a combination of 600, 750 and 1000cc models and the mix determined by dealer demand.

2013 AMA Supercross Anaheim 2 Race Report

Mon, 21 Jan 2013

Ryan Villopoto claimed his first win of the 2013 AMA Supercross season and his first since the knee injury at last year’s Seattle round that kept him out of the 2012 AMA Motocross championship. The victory in front of 37,789 fans at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Calif., made up for his disappointing 16th place finish two weeks earlier at the same site. His Monster Energy Kawasaki teammate Jake Weimer held the early advantage in the main event, taking the holeshot ahead of the Honda Muscle Milk duo of Justin Barcia and Trey Canard.

2013 AMA Superbike Daytona Race Report

Mon, 18 Mar 2013

The story leading up to the opening round of the 2013 AMA Pro National Guard Superbike season was whether anyone would be able to keep up with defending champion Josh Hayes. After all, the Monster Energy Graves Yamaha rider dominated the competition last season winning 16 of 20 races including a string of 10 in a row. The season-opening round at Daytona International Speedway appeared to start on script with Hayes qualifying in pole position.
