This motorcycle was restored in 2006/7 and ran great. It has been sitting garaged since 2008. It will not start as it needs a new battery and probably a good carb cleaning. There are MANY spare parts included with this bike, see list below.

Condition:
-Restored in 2006, frame was powder coated and is in good condition.
-Various scratches (see pictures below).
-Tires are practically unworn.
-Wheels are also new, just a bit dusty.
-Everything worked on the bike when it was last ran in 2008, including lights/turn signals, and it shifted nicely.

Many spare parts are included (which all work, some may be in poor condition, see pictures below):
-Complete engine (it does run).
-Instrument cluster.
-Front headlight.
-Two sets of front headlight housings.
-Two sets of carbs.
-Rear sprocket.

GSX-R600 long-termer update

Mon, 18 Oct 2010

When MF asks me if I fancy riding the Visordown test GSX-R 600 for a bit, I hesitate for about a millisecond before accepting. Suzuki GSX-R day at Snetterton

Wed, 21 Jul 2010

I have to hold my hands up and make a confession. I have completely changed my mind about Suzuki’s GSX-R1000 K9. Back in the depths of winter I rode our long termer and found myself (without trying) doing jail-sentence speeds by doing nothing other than short shifting through the gear on half throttle.

In loving memory of the Suzuki Katana

Wed, 23 Mar 2016

The Japanese are celebrating the 35th anniversary of the legendary Suzuki Katana motorcycle, whose appearance on the road still stuns the layman. Back in the day, the Japanese manufacturer relied on the European design studio Target Design to get an innovative motorcycle. Hans Muth, the ex-BMW designer at the time, presented two concepts: a 650cc prototype and a 1100cc version that ended up on the assembly line.
