1979, Iconic GS 750. Final year of this collectible model. This bike is an 8.5/9 out of 10 and in Janu ary won me a prize at the Dania Beach FL Vintage Motorcycle show. It is 99.5% original. Down to the stock Bars,Mirrors And Grips! Everything working . Revs out like a new one! This model was a champion in production 750 class in 76 thru 79. They just outclassed everything on the track and Revived Suzuki's flagging fortunes after the Unpopular Rotory Re5. It has a matching set of Dunlops (Brand new on the front) Fresh Battery ,Oil/filter. Air assist front forks work and she has a very smart balance gauge fitted ....so you pump once and get equal pressure both sides.Twin front discs...Late 78 and all 79 models only. This bike would suit a Collector or Suzuki Fan. Please if you want to Chop, Cut or Customize ,this bike is not for you . Genuine enquiries please, this has been in my collection for a few years ....Time to let her go.

Knee-high land-speed record device

This mad looking motorcycle is a land speed record device that never turned a wheel in anger. It was built by the infamous Dave Manning in 1968 using a discarded drop tank from a Korean fighter plane. Manning built a space-frame chassis inside the tiny teardrop and also managed to find room for a Suzuki T500 twin cylinder two-stroke motor.

US Motorcycle Thefts Down 6% in 2011

Americans reported 46,667 motorcycle thefts in 2011, a 6% decrease from 49,791 stolen motorcycles in 2010, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Despite the drop in reported thefts, the non-profit organization representing nearly 1100 property and casualty insurance companies says the theft rate still averages out to one motorcycle stolen every 11 minutes in the U.S. The numbers were published in the NICB’s 2011 ForeCAST Report which examined theft reports as well as recoveries.

Carlos Checa extended his lead in the 2011 World Superbike Championship, winning both races at Utah’s Miller Motorsports Park. The Althea Ducati racer recorded his second double of the season and now has six wins in ten races. Checa also scored the double in Utah in 2008 when Miller Motorsports Park made its debut on the WSBK calendar.
