Aaron League To Become Youngest American To Tackle Manx Grand Prix
Thu, 17 Jul 2014Charlotte-based motorcycle racer Aaron League is set to become the youngest ever American to tackle the Manx Grand Prix next month. The 23-year-old will join Lancashire-based Rea Racing to pilot a Suzuki SV650 in the Newcomers B and Supertwin classes. League will make his debut on the Isle of Man at this year’s Manx Grand Prix ahead of a planned assault on the 2015 Pirelli National Superstock 600 Championship, as he bids to break onto the British short circuit racing scene.
Pirelli To Remain Tire Supplier For All World Superbike Classes Through 2018
Wed, 10 Sep 2014Pirelli’s relationship with the World Superbike Championship started in 2004 and will carry on through 2018, as the Italian company will continue to supply tires for every class of the championship. Pirelli has been confirmed as the Official Tire Supplier for all classes of the eni FIM Superbike World Championship having won the tender organized by Dorna, promoter and organizer of the World Championship, in agreement with the FIM, the International Motorcycling Federation.
New ÖHLINS products for GSX-R600 & GSX-R750
Fri, 25 Mar 2011ÖHLINS Racing has completed final testing and is now ready to launch a complete range of suspension upgrade kits for the 2011 Suzuki GSX-R600 and GSX-R750 The GSX-R600 comes equipped with Big Piston Forks (BPF) as standard but Öhlins recommends fitting its NIX30 fork kit or pressurised system. Aside from the perfermance improvements, these systems are much quicker and more simple to adjust with compression damping on the left fork leg and rebound on the right. The Öhlins TTX36 rear shock is the perfect accompaniment for the GSX-R600 and 750 and uses MotoGP developed Twin Tube technology, improving feedback by utilising positive pressure on both the compression and rebound stroke of the shock. The forks and shock can be interchanged between the 2011 GSX-R 600 & 750.
