Suzuki DR-Z description

2007 Suzuki Dr-Z 400SM, Yes this is a REAL bike for sale. I'm not a Nigerian Prince nor am I a scammer. I am the 3rd owner of this 2007 Suzuki DR-Z400SM, selling it to make room for my NEXT bike. The previous owner made MANY modifications to the bike and its GREAT as is: *Yosh-Pipe *3X3 air box mod *day long seat *taller windscreen *new brake lines *HID headlight *electric fan *rear rack *petal style brake rotors It fires on the first bump of the starter every time and runs without issue. The only thing it needs is a rear tire. The bike is currently kept in a storage unit, but was previously kept outside, so it has some minor surface rust on the edges of the brake rotors as well as a few screw heads. The bike is 6 years old and not perfect but rating it from 0-100%, I'd give it an 80% overall. The bike is mechanically sound and I keep it as clean as possible. LOW MILES - 9500, in the pictures but there may be more at time of sale because I ride it whenever I can. Bike is sold as is with no warranty. Clear TEXAS title. Solicitors are NOT welcome to contact me. I do not need your help to sell the bike. If you're not calling to buy the bike, don't bother. Also, final sale will be done in person with CASH. I'm not interested in any crazy schemes for purchase/payment or shipping. Pick up is the buyers responsibility. The bike is sold AS IS. There is no warranty implied or otherwise. Some of the questions people ask are amazing Q: Will you sell part XYZ? A: The bike is not being parted out. Don't ask to buy certain parts. It's all or nothing. Sorry. Q: What's the absolute lowest price you will take for the bike? A: $3500, you either want the bike or you don't. Q: Why are you asking so much? Blue book says blah-blah-blah A: Blue book is based on stock valuation. This bike has every mod under the sun short of boring. You're paying for the bike plus mods. If you want a new 2013 DRZ, they're only about $7K, plus $2K worth of parts to get it modded to the level of this bike OR buy a used DRZ S for $2k-ish and convert it to SM for $1k or so then mod it with used parts for $1k or so OR just buy this one and RIDE today. Q: The rear tire looks new in the pic but you say it needs a new rear tire, why? A: The tire is into the wear indicators down the middle and has maybe 500 miles left (said this 1300 miles ago. The right person could easily get another 1000+ miles out of the tire). One of the many tragedies of living in a place where corners are few and far between. $3,500.00, 832-736-0757,

Therefore I say unto you, Be not anxious for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than the food, and the body than the raiment? Behold the birds of the heaven, that they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; and your heavenly Father feedeth them.

Xmas gift for Haslam fans

A LIMITED-EDITION Leon Haslam print has gone on sale and captures the moment the Alstare Suzuki rider took his first World Superbike Championship race victory – at Phillip Island, Australia on February 28 this year. Winning Start has been painted by Isle of Man artist Alan Perkin and the limited edition run of 250 prints are already selling on the online store of Leon Haslam’s website; www.leonhaslam.com. All of the prints are signed by Haslam and Perkin and are priced at £39.95. “Alan Perkin has produced a really nice painting and we wanted to get something out there in advance of Christmas and at an affordable price,” said Haslam. He continued: “The print has pride of place in my house, Phillip Island was my first pole position, my debut on the Alstare Suzuki and my first race win – a memorable start to a great year.” The print measures 630mm x 490mm and is available from the Leon Haslam website or by calling 01332 882584.

Old boys and proper bikes at the Spa Classic 2012.

Mon, 09 Jul 2012

If you miss seeing factory two stroke racing machinery being ridden properly then you should consider a trip to the Spa classic event in 2013. I was the lucky recipient of an invitation to ride there last week and had a blast riding some tasty kit from the past. I went well at Spa in 250cc GPs  but the circuit scared me on the 500s.
