Recently reduced from $3400 to $3000. In very good condition. Looking to upgrade, and must sell this bike in order to get new bike. Formerly known as a Suzuki Savage, it has a 652cc motor. Gets great gas mileage (50-60 depending on how it's driven). Currently has just over 13500 miles on it. It comes with Suzuki sports touring windshield, gel seat, and motorcycle cover. Great bike for beginning riders. Lightweight (381 lbs), which gives it good handling. 2009-2011 Suzuki GSX-R1000 Recalled for Side Stand Interlock Switch
Fri, 01 Jun 2012Suzuki is issuing a recall for 2009-2011 GSX-R1000 because of a potential failure of the side stand interlock switch. The interlock switch is what cuts off the ignition circuit on a motorcycle when the side stand is down and the transmission is in any gear except neutral. Its purpose is to prevent a motorcycle from moving with the stand deployed.

Tue, 31 May 2011Carlos Checa extended his lead in the 2011 World Superbike Championship, winning both races at Utah’s Miller Motorsports Park. The Althea Ducati racer recorded his second double of the season and now has six wins in ten races. Checa also scored the double in Utah in 2008 when Miller Motorsports Park made its debut on the WSBK calendar.
