Polaris Forms Joint Venture with Royal Enfield Owners Eicher Motors

Polaris Industries has formed a new joint venture with Eicher Motors, the parent company of Royal Enfield. The new joint venture will develop new products for India and other emerging markets. The new company will be backed by a $50 million investment with both Polaris and Eicher sharing 50%.

But with India’s middle class starting to flex its financial muscle while other markets continue to struggle, the New Delhi show is becoming much more prominent, with major OEMs positioning themselves to claim a piece of the India’s 13 million vehicles-a-year market.
