That the 'dawn of motoring' took place in France is a fact where not many people are

familiar with.

The company 'Monet & Goyon' was formed in 1917 by Joseph Monet and Adrien Goyon. It began manufacturing invalid

carriages for disabled WW1 veterans. In 1920 they became agents for the British Autocycle company and then in 1922

produced their first motorcycle. During the 1920's they built an excellent reputation for sporty flat tank bikes such as the

Z147 and Z175. Monet & Goyon had considerable racing success including winning the Bol D'or six times between 1927 and

1948. They produced a wide range of models until closure in 1959. The factory was in Macon one hour north of Lyon, France.

This very stylish 1934 twin-port Monet Goyon M11 bakery-delivery model is a motorcycle
that is also in Europe hardly ever on offer.

It was in a collection of antique motorcycles since the early 1990's and has been stored under controlled conditions since, where the engine has been treated with preservating oil etc. back then.

I have not tried to get this bike running, but the engine has great compression, is spinning smoothly without producing any funny noises and was running fine when being put in storage back then, ..so think it won't take very much to get it out of its sleep again. Also the gearbox is shifting ok and both gears are present.

The paint is in a fair condition, though some small traces of use and age are visible.
Furthermore the acetyle headlamp is after 82 years in a good and complete condition and to my idea in normal working condition (but haven't tried this either).

This motorcycle comes with an European Certificate of Origin which official document (title) will be issued in your name and states the make, model, year of manufacture, displacement, weight etc, plus an official bill of sale from my company here in Belgium. Furthermore I’ll make sure that all the correct export-paperwork will be in place before the bike leaves from here, which documents will make the process of importing it into the US an easy ride.

-On this listing I’m offering a special (fully sealed) crate, careful packing and physical shipping from here in Belgium to a US CFS as close as possible to you at my expense, meaning that I will pay for having the bike crated and all handling etc. plus the ocean-freight charge, where you are responsible for all charges at your (US) end, like entry fees, port, handling and eventually broker fees etc.
If you want any additional information about this, please ask before you place a bid.

Furthermore, when you want to receive some better photo's of the bike/shipping, or want to recieve more information about this item, just let me know.

-Additional information to this listing;

 I only offer shipping by sea, where of course we can advise you on forehand about the process of importing the machine into your country.

When you are the high-bid buyer, I will ship this machine at my expense from here to one of the following Canadian destinations;

-Calgary ALB
-Charlottetown PEI
-Edmonton ALB
-Halifax, NS
-Moncton NB
-Montreal
-Ottawa ONT
-Quebec City QUE
-Regina SAS
-St. John's NF
-Toronto Vancouver BC
-Winnipeg MAN

..To one of over 60 US destinations as close as possible to you,

Or to another destination (please check whether I can ship to there before you place a bid).

For Canadian buyers, check this link regarding importation;

For US buyers, like can be read in the link, this antique combination is because of age exempt from US import-duty and EPA regulations;

The crate will safely sail in a sealed container and the shipment is fully insured for eventual damage/loss.

I always pack bikes myself, only use certified crates plus new packing-materials and deliver the crated machines in person at the Antwerp warehouse of the shipping-company (see images) Furthermore I pay for having every shipment insured against damage or loss during the complete process of handling and sailing.

Of course I will inform you about the complete process of shipping and provide you all the information you need from the beginning on and send you pictures of the process of packing and actual delivery at the Antwerp port as soon as these processes are completed.
