It has been in storage for over 15 years, but was running and riding fine back then. The odometer is showing 1602km (=997 mile) only have no history whether this could be the original reading, though the speedometer is working fine. Furthermore, to make sure that the engine would be safe for the time it has been put to sleep, it was treated with preservation oil, where the complete motorcycle was stored under controlled conditions and checked on a regular base. Today the engine is still spinning free without making any funny noises, has great compression and has all components in place, so don't think it'll take very much to wake it up again. Furthermore the gearbox is shifting fine, all gears are present and the horn is still sounding just as loud like it must have done when new. The paint is in a pretty good condition for its age where only a few dings and traces of use and age can be found (patina), but then this is something fairly normal for a motorcycle of 75 years old. The wicker basket like can be seen on the images can easily be taken off, but personally like the machine much more when it is on (see for yourself by comparing images 1 to 5 with images 6 to 11). This motorcycle comes with an official European Certificate of Origin which document will be issued in your name and states the make, model, year of manufacture, displacement, weight etc, plus an official bill of sale from my company here in Belgium. Furthermore I’ll make sure that all the correct export-paperwork will be in place before the bike leaves from here, which documents will make the process of importing it into the US an easy ride. -On this listing I’m offering a special (fully sealed) crate, careful packing and physical shipping from here in Belgium to a US CFS as close as possible to you at my expense, meaning that I will pay for having the bike crated and all handling etc. plus the ocean-freight charge, where you are responsible for all charges at your (US) end, like entry fees, port, handling and eventually broker fees etc. If you want any additional information about this, please ask on forehand.
