What we have here is a 1952 Matchless G80S brought over from Australia in 2007, it is in very roadworthy condition, and quite original. Work done on recently includes rebuilding of top end, a front fork rebuild using NOS fork legs and new seals, and complete re-wiring of entire bike with new British wiring loom.  Bike received a new paint job a few back which was done by a master painter.  Sheet metal is very nice.   Aside from the usual paint chips and scratches due to use, the condition is exceptional.  Chrome is in nice shape, with silencer new a few years ago.  Exhaust header pipe is older, but still looks fine.  Rims are flawless, and wheels were re-laced with stainless steel spokes several years ago.  Engine castings are very nice, with no evidence of damage or repairs,  There are no broken fins on head or cylinder, and the engine number verifies that it belongs to this 1952 G80S.   Bike was fitted with a Amal Monobloc unit and recently had the petcocks replaced.  Tank is in very nice condition inside and out.  Correct seat is nice, with no rips or tears.   Mechanically, the bike is in good order.  Tickle the Amal, and she starts easily using the compression release and settles into an idle nicely.  On the road, the bike rides straight and true, and the Burman gearbox shifts cleanly and runs quietly.  The magneto is very strong.  Speedometer does not work and probably needs to be restored.
