Norton G15CS description

1969 Norton G15CS/123979 for sale!

This bike runs great and is in very nice condition! It remains exactly how it was prepared and displayed as the only road bike, along side other race bikes, at the 1971 Los Angeles Automobile and Motorcycle show. The original owner fell in love with it at first sight and within 24 hours of seeing it at the show, he contacted the dealer and purchased it. After he had to sadly part from the bike, I became its second owner. Since then, I have put less than 300 miles on it and made sure to start it regularly. The odometer is broken, but the original owner estimates the mileage to be between 3 and 4,000 miles. Some visible flaws are minor chaffing of the paint where the tool compartment cover fits, minor dings on the mufflers, and the shock boots are splitting. According to the original owner, the upswept exhaust pipes and the air cooled double leading edge front brake hub (as on the Commando) were added for the Los Angeles show. The candy apple green custom paint was added to give it some extra pizzazz on the show stand at the Los Angeles show. Some G15CS's were badged as Nortons while others were badged as Matchless.

We encourage all potential buyers to inspect the motorcycle prior to purchasing. The vehicle is available anytime for inspection at Winning Makes, located in Santa Barbara, CA. Tue, 11 Feb 2014

Racing great John Surtees turns a landmark 80 years old today, and he remains one of the biggest names in two- and four-wheeled motorsports. Surtees is the only person to have ever won the premiere world championships for both motorcycle and car racing, capturing the 500cc World Championship in 1956, 1958, 1959 and 1960 and the Formula One Championship in 1964. Born Feb.

The question is: is this Stacey?

Sex sells, right? So when you're trying to sell your bike, a picture of a pretty girl will fool anyone into buying anything. Or maybe not.

Bonneville from a parallel universe

Fri, 20 Sep 2013

This is the Triumph Speed Twin Concept, a bike commissioned by Triumph to show what the Bonneville might have evolved into, in a parallel universe. I love the concept. Designed by Roy Norton and Tom Kasher who were on a placement at a design studio, I get the impression the pair are into motorcycle and not just designers.
