Moto Guzzi MONZA description

If you are looking at this Moto Guzzi V50 Monza, you may or may not know that very few of the Monza V50s were imported to the USA.  This one came through the Port of New York through  Ghost Motorcycles.  There is a story behind that, in that it was reported to be just a front for the Mafia.  The Monza, unlike the other V50s that were imported, was a European spec bike that had, as you can see, lower clip on bars, bikini faring, and the styling of the bigger LeMans' series motorcycles.  The Monza had a higher final rear drive ratio, hotter cams, higher compression, and larger carbs, than the standard V50s.  This is a great running Moto Guzzi. It has the optional Bub pipes and it sounds great!!  It is absolutely the best sounding, torquey motorcycle that I have in my collection.  I have rebuilt the carbs, installed an electronic ignition, rebuilt the brake system, including calipers and master cylinders.   Baldwin Cycle Saddle restored the seat from pan up with new foam, optional gel pad, and very nice red stitching to match red paint.  This was a $400.00 upgrade.  The drive components, including a new U-joint in the drive shaft and spindles, were greased.  Of course, all oils have been changed and changed regularly.  The handle bar switch gear has been replaced.  The original switch gear was junk.  If you have original switch gear, it will plug directly into the original harness.  The connectors are still in place. The gas tank on the left side does have a dent, see pictures. The paint on the plastic parts on these bikes didn't stick well right from the start. The speedometer reads higher speed because of the low profile tires. So the mileage is a little lower than it reads as well.    The rearview mirrors are not original, but fully functional.  I have installed pod filters on the carbs.  I have all of the original airbox parts and switch gear parts in a storage unit that I may not be able to get to for a couple months but I would be willing to ship to the buyer, if wanted.  I put a set of Avon road race tires on it off of one of my AHRMA road race bikes.  They are still fine but I have been wanting to put on a new set.  If you have questions, please feel free to ask.  PLEASE, do not bid unless you have a Paypal account for down payment and can follow through with terms listed for the purchase.  If you are a low feedback bidder, please contact me before you bid or bids will be canceled.  Serious buyers only. 500.00 Deposit by PayPal within 48 hours. The rest within 7days. Do not bid if you cannot meet these terms.

Moto Guzzi Revives V7 in US

Mon, 05 Jan 2009

If contemporary society has taught us anything, it is that few things are held as sacred. Shameless film and television remakes are rampant while musicians sample (steal) any beats or mixes they deem suitable that will gain their crumby creation attention. In regards to motorcycles, there are times when retro-inspired modern engineered creations work, like the Triumph Thruxton for instance.

2019 Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber Sport Coming in September

The V9 Bobber is getting a sporty new variant, with the new model to debut Sept. 7-9 at Moto Guzzi‘s open house event in Mandello del Lario, Italy. Moto Guzzi has released just a single photo of the V9 Bobber Sport, but that’s enough to give us a pretty good idea what to expect.
