KTM SX description

2013 KTM Sx 250, This bike was bought off the showroom in July this year. This thing is still new. It's mechanically 100% stock besides the suspension. No mods, no pipe, not even a silencer. I bought the bike for trail riding not racing. I didn't want the expenses a four stroke came with when it comes time for servicing. I have Literally gone through ONE single rear tire on this bike. Still has factory front. This thing still smells new. The only bolts that have ever been turned on this bike were to get the suspension out to send it to WP Racing. The same company that designs the Factory KTM suspension. The bike has approximately 14 rides on it. 6 Air filter services and 4 oil changes. Bike has been rejetted for 32:1 and has only seen Amsoil since the day I got it. It has Brand new plastics and a custom graphics kit good tires, (Comes with an extra brand new rear tire) Suspension was sent to WP Racing to get revalved and properly set up for trail riding. 604 Dollar Receipt. I am absolutely firm on price. I already have over 8400 into this thing and have only ridden it long enough to replace a single rear tire. Comes with complete owners manual, KTM Tool bag, and a brand new tire. Air filter cleaned and oil changed one ride ago. The only thing this bike needs is someone to ride it. Buying countless tatty bikes. And that Marquez fella

Fri, 10 May 2013

A South African friend of mine called Trevor Binder told me last weekend I’m quite obviously in the advanced stages of a terrible disease. He recognises the affliction because he admits to suffering from the same condition for many years and so far hasn’t found a cure.  He says he can’t stop collecting bikes and while I didn’t think I had a problem, last weekend he pointed out I should be careful as I’m starting to acquire bikes at an alarming rate. I wasn’t really worried about spending a modest amount of cash an old KTM 125 race bike, a 350 LC and a Fizzy over the past six months but Trevor says I’m on a slippery slope.  He says it always starts with bikes that have some sentimental value but then swiftly moves on to buying any old tat.  Trevor is a wealthy man with dozens of nice bikes in his collection but more recently has been on Gumtree bidding for £150 Solex front wheel drive step - thrus, and doesn’t know why.  Closer to home, James Whitham has recently confirmed he may also have these symptoms and is actively seeking therapy.  I’ll be monitoring the situation from now on but in the meantime if anyone hears of a reasonably priced Raleigh Wisp for sale please let me know.

The Differences Between KTM’s Duke Engines

Fri, 25 Jan 2013

KTM set a new company record with 107,142 motorcycles sold in 2012, with a lot of credit given to strong demand for its small-displacement naked Duke line. The 125 Duke and 200 Duke have been popular sellers in Europe while Indian consumers accounted for more than 8000 units of the 200 Duke alone. KTM will try to maintain its momentum with its new 390 Duke, not to mention the 690 Duke R and the upcoming 1290 Super Duke R which was unveiled in prototype form at the 2012 EICMA show in Milan as the eventual successor to the 990 Super Duke.
