KTM SX description

This is a running 1978 KTM GS 175 six speed with a TITLE.. We have other projects in our shop and have decided to sell this bike without restoring it. The bike pulls hard through all gears and has had a PVL ignition installed so it cranks on the 2nd or 3rd kick even dead cold. We hope the pictures will show the bike in a very honest way. The frame has been previously painted with a darker red than original. We power washed the bike, ran it and gave it a coat of WD40. The bike will need a new air filter. Great bike for vintage hare scrambles or motocross. Go vintage racing at a very affordable price.

Bike runs shifts great - suspension feels good!

We have other vintage MX bikes listed!! Take a look at our other auctions!!

We offer amazing rates for shipping both internationally and domestic. Domestic shipments are moved via enclosed trailer and fully insured - normally a 2 week window. International shipments are crated and insured for your safety and run 4-6 weeks from port to port. Again these are rough estimates. International buyers - we can handle transport to to most anywhere in the world - you are responsible for any customs duties or import tax. We can crate and ship to the port in the UK for $750 and $995 to AUS.

These are 30-40+ year old vintage dirt bikes. The original manufacturers didn't warranty them when they were new, so neither will I. Every used vintage dirt racing motorcycle, whether it has been restored or not, will ALWAYS need SOMETHING adjusted, tweaked, modified, replaced, repaired by YOU before you ride or race it. Since no bike is perfect, please be reasonable and understand this before bidding. The bike is sold AS IS with no warranty written nor implied on these 30+ year old competition machines.

Thanks for looking and feel free to take a look at our other vintage and post vintage MX bike auctions!

2024 KTM RC990 Sportbike Spied

Still, that didn’t stop interested customers from scooping up all 100 units less than five minutes after the pre-order window opened. Not that we were surprised about the strong demand, as it has been years since KTM produced a large-displacement sportbike.

AMA Pro Racing Announces Basic Twins Flat Track Class for 2014 Season

Fri, 12 Apr 2013

AMA Pro Racing announced a new class for Flat Track racing designed to provide a new stepping stone for up-and-coming Pro-licensed racers, replacing the Pro Singles class in 2014. The new class, to be called Basic Twins, is more or less a revival of the Basic Expert Twins division that ran during the 2007 and 2008 seasons, but dropped when the Pro Singles class was introduced for 2009. The new class will give young racers a chance to showcase their skills on Twins, easing their transition to eventually enter the Grand National Expert Twins class.
