Full details about the new RC390 leaked last month, but today at the 2013 EICMA show, KTM officially revealed details about the fully-faired sportbike along with its smaller siblings the RC200 and RC125. Several manufacturers blamed poor weather for the poor start this year, and the rebounding sales in the third quarter helped to negate the slow sales from earlier in the year.

KTM Offers Custom Leather Racing Suits from GIMOTO

KTM has partnered with Austrian riding suit maker GIMOTO to offers made-to-measure custom leather suits. Using an online customization tool on KTM’s official website, customers can design their own GIMOTO RSX racing suits, selecting from various options such as additional protectors, text and logos. The customization tool also accepts 20 different measurements to get the suit to fit just right.

2014 KTM 1290 Super Duke R Revealed

Almost a year after it was revealed in prototype form, KTM has released final specifications and photographs of the all-new 1290 Super Duke R production model. Until now, KTM had been coy about the specs for its large-displacement naked bike, but we can now see what makes the Austrian manufacturer nickname the new Super Duke R as “the Beast”. In typical KTM style, the 1290 in the bike’s name provides only a ballpark estimate of the actual engine displacement.

The 10th Annual KTM Adventure Rider Rally took place September 13-15 in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Hundreds showed up to the Steamboat Grand Hotel to enjoy a weekend of KTM activities, including appearances from KTM factory riders  Andrew Short, Mike Brown, Kurt Caselli and Mike Lafferty, plus technical and riding seminars, self-guided rides, demo rides, games, camaraderie and more. The rally was such as rousing success KTM has posted a beautiful wrap video.
