Follow the rest of our 2013 EICMA show coverage Of course, all three models are based on previously revealed naked Duke models, so much of the information was expected anyway. KTM has partnered with Austrian riding suit maker GIMOTO to offers made-to-measure custom leather suits. Using an online customization tool on KTM’s official website, customers can design their own GIMOTO RSX racing suits, selecting from various options such as additional protectors, text and logos. The customization tool also accepts 20 different measurements to get the suit to fit just right.

2014 KTM 1290 Super Duke R Revealed

Almost a year after it was revealed in prototype form, KTM has released final specifications and photographs of the all-new 1290 Super Duke R production model. Until now, KTM had been coy about the specs for its large-displacement naked bike, but we can now see what makes the Austrian manufacturer nickname the new Super Duke R as “the Beast”. In typical KTM style, the 1290 in the bike’s name provides only a ballpark estimate of the actual engine displacement.

Ken de Dycker led Team Belgium to victory in the 2013 Motocross of Nations at Germany’s Teutschenthal track. De Dycker was joined by Clement de Salle and Jeremy von Horebeek in winning Belgium’s first MXoN title since 2004. Team U.S.A.

The 10th Annual KTM Adventure Rider Rally took place September 13-15 in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Hundreds showed up to the Steamboat Grand Hotel to enjoy a weekend of KTM activities, including appearances from KTM factory riders  Andrew Short, Mike Brown, Kurt Caselli and Mike Lafferty, plus technical and riding seminars, self-guided rides, demo rides, games, camaraderie and more. The rally was such as rousing success KTM has posted a beautiful wrap video.
