2014 KTM 85 SX, 2014 KTM 85 SX THE LITTLE BIG ONE The KTM 85 SX is the prime choice for future champions. As the minicycle class leader, the 85 SX features the most powerful engine in the field housed in a lightweight, stable chassis. For the highest level of amateur competition, the 85 SX is the clear choice. Features may include: Suspension travel and damping Up front, there's a 43mm upside down fork with 270mm of travel, while a revised PDS monoshock on the rear now provides even better traction and optimum surface contact. Both are made by renowned supplier WP Suspension. Of course, rebound and compression damping can be adjusted separately for a quick and precise set-up to match the track and rider. Chassis The proven 43mm upside down fork with 270mm of suspension travel and the rear PDS monoshock ensure optimum traction and suspension comfort on the KTM 85 SX. Limited Production 2023 KTM RC 8C – First Look
Tue, 25 Oct 2022Higher revving, more powerful LC8c engine Credit: Photos by Rudi Schedl and Fotografie Mitterbauer KTM announced updates for its RC 8C sportbike, including a reworked, more powerful engine, a new exhaust, updated electronics, and the latest WP suspension. Produced once more with the help of Krämer Motorcycles, the RC 8C will have a limited run of 200 numbered units, with a suggested retail price of US$39,599. The most significant updates are with the 889 cc engine, with new, lightweight titanium valves and connecting rods, plus forged pistons using a new two-ring system (versus the previous three piston rings).
2013 KTM Two-Stroke Off-Road Models Recalled for Throttle Defect
Tue, 23 Apr 2013KTM has initiated a recall on 2013 two-stroke off-road motorcycles because of a problem with the throttle cable. The models affected are the 125 EXC, 125 EXC Six Days, 125 SX, 150 SX, 150, XC, 200 EXC, 200 XC-W, 250 EXC, 250 EXC Six Days, 250 SX, 250 XC, 250 XC-W, 300 EXC, 300 EXC Six Days, 300 XC, 300 XC-W, 85 SX, and 85 SXS. According to KTM, the throttle cable on affected models can get pinched between the throttle cable wheel and the top of the throttle housing assembly. This flaw may result in the loss of throttle control, increasing the risk of a crash.
