2014 KTM 300 XC-W Six Days, 2014 KTM 300 XC-W BETTER THAN EVER! The 300 XC-W has clearly proven what it can do in many offroad competitions. The combination of massive 2-stroke performance, unrivaled torque and a super agile chassis make it the first choice when the going gets really difficult. There is no better power-to-weight ratio on the market in a standard bike. The compact 2-stroke engine offers the strongest performance money can currently buy. A perfectly tuned exhaust control ensures a manageable power delivery, while the 6-speed gear box, specially geared for enduros, has always the right gear ratio on offer. With its enhanced cylinder head and new reed valve, the new 300 XC-W is better than ever. Features may include: Frame The modern and lightweight frame design made of high-strength chromoly steel sections combines maximum longitudinal stiffness with optimum torsional ridigty. It guarantees easy handling and precise cornering, but also outstanding stability. Swingarm Designed using the latest in calculation and simulation software, the design and wall thickness of the cast aluminum swingarm have been optimized for minimum weight at optimum stiffness and precisely defined flexibility. For 2014, the engineers have revised the chain guide to increase reliability while lowering the weight. Triple clamps The lower triple clamp has been redesigned for optimum accomodation of the new front fender. Thanks to its new contour and mounting with two front and two bottom bolts, the new fender has a lot more stability. Superior suspension settings The first rate WP Suspension elements have been further improved for 2014. Specially designed for enduro riding and in some models with an optimized tuning, they ensure maximum traction and plenty of comfort. Of course, compression and rebound damping can be adjusted to the track conditions and the rider's preferences with a twist of the wrist - the rear monoshock has separate high and low speed adjustments.

125, 200 Duke Models Drive KTM Sales
Fri, 30 Mar 2012KTM is off to a strong start in 2012 with a 19% increase in motorcycle sales, thanks in large part to the popularity of its 125 Duke and 200 Duke. The Austrian manufacturer says the two small capacity streetbikes form a large portion of the 8300 units it has sold so far in 2012. Based on those numbers, KTM claims it leads all European manufacturers in sales over the first few months of the year.
Recall for 6,117 MY2011 KTM and Husaberg Off-road and Competition Models
Fri, 09 Sep 2011KTM and Husaberg are recalling about 6,117 off-road motorcycles due to a risk of cracked handlebar clamps. According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the handlebar clamps on some off-road KTM and Husaberg models can develop cracks from normal use.
US-Spec 2014 KTM Off-Road Models Revealed
Thu, 23 May 2013A couple of weeks ago, we wrote about KTM‘s 2014 off-road lineup for Europe highlighted by an updated 250 EXC-F and other updates across the model lineup. KTM has now released information about its U.S.-spec models which include the same updates while keeping some differences from the European versions. For off-road riders in the U.S., KTM is offering the street-legal four-stroke 350 EXC-F and 500 EXC and their solely off-road XCF-W and XC-W, the four-stroke 250 XCF-W and the two-stroke 200, 250, 300 and 450 XC-W models.
