My dream bike for 2013: The KTM 250GPR

I never really know when I’m asked what my dream bike would be but should Camelot shine on me this Saturday I know what I want at the moment, the KTM250GPR. At around £45,000 and with only 49bhp the Austrian firms over the counter Moto 3 racer for 2013 might not sound that appealing but I beg to differ. For starters they look stunning so I’d never get bored of looking at it in my garage but the technical spec and potential fun of taking one to a race track is what really turns me on. Far from being some motocross engine shoehorned into a steel trellis frame the 250GPR is just a small step down from Sandro Cortese’s world championship winning Moto 3 machine.

Mark your calendars for the KTM Adventure Rally, happening Friday – Sunday, September 19-21 in Taos, New Mexico. Suitable for enduro and adventure riders of all levels, the KTM Adventure Rally will tour the Taos ski valley area, but more importantly, it will allow riders to put themselves and their machines through their paces in some spectacular off-road environments. AMA Supercross: 2012 Las Vegas Results

Ryan Dungey scored his fourth win of the season but it was not enough to take second place in the points race behind champion Ryan Villopoto. That honor went to JGRMX Yamaha‘s Davi Millsaps who placed second to Dungey in the season-ending race at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas. Dungey took the holeshot and led every lap to take the win for Red Bull KTM.
