Aggressive in its styling, and dedicated to its Ready to Race brand promise, the RC390 has always been pitched as a fun little track bike that also happens to be street-legal with enough comfort for daily duty. This has caused the little KTM to be lauded with praise at the track in our previous comparisons, but at the same time, that attitude has caused the Kawasaki Ninja 400 to come out on top as a better well-rounded motorcycle in our last two comparisons.
EICMA 2013: 2014 KTM RC390, RC200 and RC125 Officially Revealed
Tue, 05 Nov 2013Full details about the new RC390 leaked last month, but today at the 2013 EICMA show, KTM officially revealed details about the fully-faired sportbike along with its smaller siblings the RC200 and RC125. Follow the rest of our 2013 EICMA show coverage Of course, all three models are based on previously revealed naked Duke models, so much of the information was expected anyway. The engines are the same as on the naked models, with the same performance figures.
KTM Ready to Race Again, Entering Moto3 Class in 2012
Fri, 03 Jun 2011KTM announced it will return to Grand Prix road racing in 2012 with a new racebike for the new 250cc four-stroke Moto3 class. The Austrian manufacturer discontinued its Grand Prix road racing program in 2009, withdrawing from the 125cc class (pictured above is current Moto2 racer Marc Marquez racing for the KTM factory team in the 2009 125cc class). With the Moto3 class set to replace the 125cc class in 2012, KTM will return with a new racebike.
