KTM Other description

This is a 2008 KTM 450 XC ATV. This is a full race quad the way it came from KTM. Only add on is Nerf bars and updated Steering mount and thumb throttle a 2009 update (still have all old parts).

This is a fast quad and handles like a dream. Selling because of lack of use just don't have time. Total time is around 15 hours added an hour meter but it shows a lower time (rode awhile before adding the hour meter).

KTM RC8R: The first month

Thu, 24 May 2012

First impressions are everything so the gearbox niggles on the first RC8s meant I didn’t become an instant fan. Wed, 06 Mar 2013

John Penton was one of the most influential figures in the development of off-road motorcycle racing in America during the 1960s and ’70s. His life’s story is triumphant and tragic. When his attempts to convince Husqvarna to produce a smaller, lighter motorcycle fell on deaf ears, Penton created his own design and commissioned KTM, a small moped and bicycle maker in Austria, to build it. The motorcycle was an instant success in off-road competition and led KTM to expand its efforts in the motorcycle realm, initially in conjunction with Penton and ultimately on its own.

KTM to Enter Supersport Category

Mon, 20 Oct 2008

As the off-road market continues its tailspin, Austria’s KTM is hedging its bets with a continued surge in its street motorcycle category. Its on-road push began with the liter-size V-Twins in the Adventure, Super Duke, and Supermoto bikes, followed most recently by the RC8 superbike. Now we hear word that the Austrian manufacturer will soon enter the supersport class.
