KTM Other description
2007 KTM Supermoto 950, 2007 KTM 950 Supermoto The panicle of big bore street super mottos, the KTM 950 won nearly every comparison test, beating out all competitors (including the Ducati Hypermotard, Aprilia Dosoduro, and BMW Megomoto). Only imported to the US in 06 and 07, Yet this bike is quite rare, you may never see a twin on the road here in Utah. With just under 100HP from the smooth running and reliable KTM LC8 950cc power plant, this machine is capable of running circles around middleweight sports bikes on a tight and twisty road. It is also a comfortable medium distance tourer with its relaxed upright ergos. The KTM is a very versatile bike, I run sport bike rubber (Michelin Power 2CTs), and ride only street. Thusly equipped, this machine loves canyons, and is one of the very best bikes for Utahs canyon and mountain roads. However, many owners install more dirt friendly rubber, soften the fully adjustable WP suspension a few clicks, and use the SuperMoto as a very capable light off roader. This machine was purchased new in 2008 from Full Throttle Power Sports and has been meticulously and lovingly maintained. The forks were just freshened, new Galfer sintered break pads installed (for better feel), fresh synthetic DOT 4 brake fluid, and a new Shorai Lithium Battery installed (6lb lighter than stock). Just serviced with fresh synthetic oil (10W-50). Modifications: Rick Meyer touring seat (a must if your ride longer than 30 minutes) SMR Matt Black Headlight Mask and front fender (stock orange parts included w/ sale) KTM Hard Parts bling: Orange anodized master cylinder cover, swingarm pivot plates, and of course tire air fill caps The bike is in need of nothing and in perfect condition. 19,000miles. Title in hand, ready for local pickup or freight company (at buyer's cost). $6,500.00 8015808201

2013 AMA Supercross Houston Race Report
Mon, 08 Apr 2013Ryan Villopoto captured his fifth-consecutive AMA Supercross win and sixth in seven rounds with a victory in the main event at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas. The Monster Energy Kawasaki rider passed holeshot-taker Mike Alessi on the opening lap and led the rest of the way for the win. Alessi, riding the Motoconcepts Racing Suzuki RM-Z450, remained in the hunt for the first few laps but soon gave way to a group including Team Honda Muscle Milk’s Trey Canard, Red Bull KTM‘s Ryan Dungey and Yoshimura Suzuki’s James Stewart.
Moto3. Recession racers?
Mon, 08 Nov 2010I've sat through enough manufacturer' presentations recently to know that we're in trouble. Ignoring the still booming Asian markets, the rest of the motorcycle World is in free-fall. Even looking at the figures optimistically we're still only selling half the volumes we were in pre-crash 2006.
2013 AMA Supercross Minneapolis Race Report
Mon, 15 Apr 2013Hometown hero Ryan Dungey put a stop to Ryan Villopoto‘s winning streak, taking the victory before 48,846 supportive fans at the Metrodome in Minneapolis, Minn. The Red Bull KTM rider from nearby Belle Plaine, Minn., stalked Monster Energy Kawasaki‘s Villopoto for most of the race before taking the lead and winning the 20-lap race by just 0.903 seconds. The win put Dungey into second place in the standings ahead of Rockstar Suzuki‘s Davi Millsaps and perhaps more importantly, cut away at Villopoto’s points lead.
