2005 KTM EXC 400 street legal enduro motorcycle. 2020 original miles. single owner. In Exceptional condition. Stock drive train with WP shocks front and back. Electric and kick start. CNC oil pump protector, factory skid plate, Stainless Steel permanent oil filters, New rear rubber, Acerbis bark busters, thirteen and 14 tooth drive sprockets. All factory recommended service intervals followed including oil changes. All factory manuals and original invoice and paperwork.This is a cross-country off road motorcycle that has been retrofitted with KTM factory components and aftermarket accessories to convert it to street legal status. It is titled and licensed as a road vehicle Original owner. Has minor oxidation on front and rear fender, a crack in 1 plastic air scoop that has been riveted, and minor seat wear at the horn of the seat. Recall for 6,117 MY2011 KTM and Husaberg Off-road and Competition Models

KTM and Husaberg are recalling about 6,117 off-road motorcycles due to a risk of cracked handlebar clamps. According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the handlebar clamps on some off-road KTM and Husaberg models can develop cracks from normal use.

KTM introduced its prototype electric motorcycle earlier this week, and electric bike manufacturer Zero Motorcycles almost immediately responded by opening sales on its 2009 Zero X dirt bike (look for our review of the 2008 model next week!). But these two companies aren’t the only ones exploring the possibilities of electric-powered motorcycles. In September, Japan’s largest industrial information journal Nikkei Business Daily reported that both Honda and Yamaha have set target dates for launching their own electric-powered motorcycles.

The Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC) reported a modest 1.4% growth in U.S. motorcycle and scooter sales in 2013, with consumers purchasing 465,783 vehicles. The sales data represents numbers from the MIC’s member brands which include BMW, Can-Am, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, the Piaggio Group (which includes Aprilia, Moto Guzzi and Vespa), Victory, Suzuki, Triumph and Yamaha.
