Besides the air cooled Beta engines, all Adventure models come equipped with all new Marzocchi forks and triple clamps that look like the full size KTM 2-stroke. In fact the 2002 KTM Sportmini range emulates the full size KTM s more than ever before, including the same graphic and design changes. Two other models standout for the major changes they received in 2002. The 50 SX Pro Junior LC â€”a mirror image of the SR model that includes the awesome Beta liquid cooled 50cc engine, but with a lower seat height, shorter wheelbase, shorter suspension and the same updated frame as the Pro Sr. And last but not least the all new 65 SX. Carbon Fibre race bikes, and a KTM makes it debut on the BSB Motostar rostrum

Many think Carbon Fibre chassis are relatively new to motorcycle racing but I can lay claim to having been there and done that almost thirty years ago. I first rode a Carbon/Kevlar 250cc Armstrong in 1983 before going on to grab four British titles and pretty much every national lap record over the next three years. I also had some top ten 250cc Grand Prix finishes although I was totally gutted when my team mate Donnie McLeod topped me by finishing 2nd in the Belgian GP at Spa.

EICMA 2012: KTM 690 Duke R Brings Out Your Inner Hooligan

The biggest news from KTM at the 2012 EICMA Show was the unveiling of the new 390 Duke and a prototype of the upcoming 1290 Super Duke R. In between these small and large naked bikes, KTM announced a new R-spec version of its middleweight 690 Duke. The 690 Duke was introduced in 2007 and received a substantial update last year with a 690cc engine claiming 67 hp, leading KTM to call it the world’s most powerful Single in a production model.

KTM officially announced the new 2021 1290 Super Adventure S, featuring a new frame, a low-slung fuel tank, Euro5 compliance and adaptive cruise control.
