KTM Other description

1979 KTM MC80, 420cc 2-stroke, bike runs rides and shifts well. Plastics are yellowed and hve some cracking but are functional. Pipe has has some repairs but overall is in great condition with no major dings. seat has a tar in it appoximately 5" long that has been patched over a long time ago with goop. Tires are nearly new Metzler's, brakes work well, shifter was broken on the arm about halfway down and welded back together. Forks and shocks were both rebuilt about 3 years ago, new top end at about the same time, with very few hours on it since then. great bike for a full resto or just ride as is. bike has a lot of bottom end power, and all the top end you could want. factory ratings on this bike were dry weight of 225 lbs, and 52hp, and it actually handles really well for a vintage bike. shipping will be 100% at buyers expense, if you wish to have it shipped you must let me know before you purchase the bike. bike is for sale locally so i reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells locally. if you have any questions feel free to call me a 678-850-1280 thanks

Day 11 Dakar 2014: Coma Wins, Extends Overall Lead

Thu, 16 Jan 2014

Day 11 marked the longest stage to date of the Dakar Rally, as the competitors tackled the 605km (376 miles) special stage, covering a variety of terrain, hard ground, mountains, plus 120km (75 miles) of sand and dunes in the Copiapo area. Despite this, and a fall at the beginning of the stage, Marc Coma again demonstrated his status as boss of the Dakar 2014, by picking up his third victory of the year, further reinforcing his position at the top of the general standings. Five-time Dakar winner Cyril Depres opened the piste for 400km before dropping slightly to finish just 02:31 behind Marc Coma in first.

2014 Bajaj Pulsar 375 – The Fully-Faired Indian Version of the KTM 390 Duke Spied

Mon, 14 Jan 2013

Indian website Powerdrift has uncovered photographs of what it claims to be a Bajaj Pulsar 375, a faired sportbike based on the KTM 390 Duke. A Bajaj-branded version of the 390 Duke should be no surprise. The Indian company, after all, owns a 47% stake in Austrian-based KTM, and it released its own version of the 200 Duke in the 2012 Bajaj Pulsar 200NS.
