Report: KTM Developing 375cc Twin for Bajaj

Austrian manufacturer KTM is reportedly working on a new 375cc Twin-cylinder engine for Indian partner Bajaj. Bajaj owns a 47% stake in KTM and the two companies have worked together in the past for the KTM Duke 125 and Duke 200 as well as the Bajaj Pulsar 200NS (pictured above). According to India’s Business-Standard, KTM and Bajaj are collaborating on a new 375cc engine at Bajaj’s research and development facility in Akurdi, India, outside of Pune.

Today the motorcycle press descended upon the Long Beach Convention Center to attend media day at the annual International Motorcycle Show. After feasting from a continental breakfast buffet the discerning journalists set to the task of reporting on the bounty of new model motorcycles – most of which has been previously showcased in our November EICMA reporting. 2014 KTM 1190 Adventure Introduces Motorcycle Stability Control Technology

KTM unveiled the 2014 versions of the 1190 Adventure and 1190 Adventure R, along with a new rider assist system it calls Motorcycle Stability Control (MSC). Developed with anti-lock brake system manufacturer Bosch, MSC applies combined-ABS and traction control even when leaned over into a curve. Sensors gather data on various parameters including wheel speed, lean angle, pitch angle, acceleration and braking pressure.
