KTM SX description

2004, KTM 450 SX RFS, -- decked out, and ultra clean.

My bike is extraordinarily clean, PRISTINE, in fact. It needs absolutely nothing! -- Very well maintained, low-hour desert trail bike. Comes with a one-inch thick folder, full of receipts, for all after-market and OEM-parts; easily more than $3500 in upgrade value.

Fresh oil and filters, including screens. New spark plug, the Uni’ air filter is clean, oiled, and ready to go. All fasteners are torqued to factory specs. No leaks of any kind, anywhere. Going with the bike is: KTM briefcase, owner’s manual, shock wrench, spark plug wrench and many of the stock parts that came with it, (that are still in great condition.)

Features of the bike:

-MX-Tech full suspension job and shock modification with new springs. The forks are fully serviced with fresh oil and new SKF fork seals. It also has fork-bleeders, and new KTM OEM shock bushings. - The suspension alone has more than $1,000 into it.

-Brand new GPR V4 steering stabilizer mounted on MX-Tech billet, adjustable clamps, anodized black with new KTM OEM steering head bearings. Factory Renthal bars, with KTM bar ends, Scott grips, and donuts.

-True polished swing arms BEYOND what the factory considered polished’ when the bike was new.

-Factory Excel rims with new R.A.D. stainless-steel & orange, anodized nipples.

-Dunlop MX51 tires, (near new) front and rear, with Bridgestone HD tubes. Additionally, there are 3 other near-new rear tires; and 2 additional front tires, that will go with the bike. (Experimenting with other tires to determine the right one.)

- New “All-Balls” brand of wheel-bearings, in front and rear hubs, and swing-arm.

- Dirt-tricks Ironman, bulletproof steel sprockets geared at 14/53 with brand new Primary Drive’, 520, O-ring chain, and brand new chain sliders

-New Galfer rear rotor and pads.

-Works Connection skid plate and frame guards.

-Full FMF PowerBomb exhaust with titanium PowerCore muffler. (Also has removable spark-arrester.)

-Carb has JD jet-kit and O-ring mod. (Also have extra Dynojet jet-kit which goes with bike.)

-The head was rebuilt by Dave Hopkins of DJH Cyclesport, (a known KTM guru), in Phoenix. Included in the rebuild were iron valve-guides to replace factory-bronze, for use with titanium valves. Engine runs great, and absolutely rips a path of destruction.

-Radiators are like new, with fresh coolant and brand new KTM, OEM radiator caps.

-Powersport Graphix gripz’, texturized shroud decals

-Custom grip tape air-box decals

-KTM PowerParts low-seat’

Everything considered, this is easily a $6,000 bike. - My loss is your gain.

Mon, 14 Apr 2014

Ryan Villopoto won his fifth race of the season while James Stewart took second place to just barely remain in contention for the 2014 AMA Supercross title. Meanwhile it was a bitter-sweet podium for third-place finisher KTM‘s Ryan Dungey who was officially mathematically eliminated from title contention. Racing in his home town of Seattle, Wash., Villopoto led every lap en route to an easy win, his fifth of the season.

The Yoshimura Suzuki racer was dominant in Atlanta, posting the fastest qualifying times and taking the holeshot to lead his eight-lap heat race before doing it again in the 20-lap main event. Stewart’s previous win was March 10, 2012, at Daytona International Speedway.

2014 AMA Supercross – Oakland Results

Mon, 27 Jan 2014

With three different racers tasting victory in the first three rounds of the 2014 AMA Supercross Championship, the season was shaping up to be one of the deepest and most competitive fields we’ve seen. But at Round Four at O.o Coliseum in Oakland, Calif., Ryan Villopoto showed why he remains the top dog, leading each lap for his second win of the season. The Kawasaki rider only trailed at the very start of the race, as Honda rider Vince Friese took the holeshot with Yamaha‘s Justin Brayton slotting in second through the first corner.
